OnePlus 6 gets Android 9.0 Pie with OxygenOS Open Beta 1

Not long after its debut, Android 9.0 Pie is already making its way to the OnePlus 6 in the OxygenOS Open Beta 1. This is the first OxygenOS Open Beta to be built on Pie and it includes the new UI and gesture navigation found in Android P. Other major improvements with Pie include Adaptive Battery, App Actions, App Slices, and Digital Wellbeing.

OnePlus has also added some tweaks of its own. These include accent color customization, Do Not Disturb with adjustable settings, and Gaming Mode 3.0.

This is beta software, and as such, users may encounter some issues when using it. For example, some apps may function unexpectedly and Google Pay is confirmed to not be working.

As always, users accept any risks when installing beta software. If you choose to do so, be sure to leave your thoughts on the new software in both the OnePlus forums and the comments below.
