Google Pixel Slate images leak, also show stylus and keyboard accessories

We’ve seen an awful lot of Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL leaks lately, but today we’re changing things up by getting an early look at a different unreleased Google device.

Several images of the Google Pixel Slate have leaked. The renders show a Chrome OS tablet with front and rear cameras, a Google logo, and what may be front-facing speakers. The device is also said to have a power button that may double as a fingerprint reader and a USB-C port for charging.

Google is expected to have a couple of accessories available for the Pixel Slate to help you get things done. The first is a capacitive stylus that’ll reportedly come with the Pixel Slate. The second is a detachable keyboard accessory, which features a foldable back to prop the Pixel Slate up and let you use it like a laptop. This keyboard has round keys and a dedicated Google Assistant button.

While we’re getting a good look at the Pixel Slate thanks to these leaked renders, there’s still a lot that we don’t know about Google’s upcoming Chrome OS tablet. That includes its specs and its pricing. Google has a history of releasing premium Chrome OS devices in the Pixel family, though, including the Chromebook Pixel and Pixelbook, so don’t be surprised if this Pixel Slate comes with a premium price tag as well. Google should reveal everything about its Pixel Slate at its event on October 9th, so stay tuned.
