Huawei is expected to introduce the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro later this month, and now it looks like the company may have a new smartwatch to go with their new phones.
The Huawei Watch GT has leaked out. The upcoming smartwatch is expected to feature a round 1.39-inch AMOLED display, according to WinFuture.de, along with a waterproof body. Inside that case is said to be 4GB of storage, GPS, NFC, a compass, a pressure sensor, and an accelerometer.
Also rumored to be packed into the Huawei Watch GT is a 420mAh battery. What’s interesting is that when paired with a special power saving mode, the Huawei Watch GT may be able to get 14 days of battery life on a single charge. It’s speculated that Huawei’s new watch could include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor, since one of the main features of that new chipset is to help offer longer battery life.
Rounding out today’s report, it’s said that the Huawei Watch GT will be avialable in two versions: Classic/Fashion and Sport. The Sport version of the upcoming watch will reportedly be completely black.
When we reviewed the Huawei Watch and Huawei Watch 2, we really enjoyed them both despite the fact that they were styled pretty differently. The Huawei Watch GT looks like a return to the design of the original Huawei Watch with its classic, more analog-style looks. Combine that with the rumored specs, and we’re definitely looking forward to getting the Huawei Watch GT on-wrist to see how the upcoming Wear OS watch performs.
