Cloud gaming – Good news bears?

Is the transition to cloud computing good news for gaming? Well, I think it is great for all types of gaming, assuming the “cloud” is relativity stable and not vulnerable to penetration (the PSN going down) But for android, it couldn’t be better, I often find phone can’t run graphic intensive games, but with cloud gaming, if executed correctly, would made any game playable. However, not every game would be able to use this, so any indie game developer who can’t get the resources to power their game with the cloud will suffer. this is just my opinion, fell free to correct me or shoot me down

It’s really a double edged sword, isn’t it? On the one hand, a person would be able to play a game without worrying if their device is powerful enough to run it (since all the in-depth bits of processing would be done on a remote computer). On the other hand, individuals without a fast enough internet connection would be left out in the cold, and indie titles would be left at a great disadvantage to larger game companies that are able to more easily work out contracts with the cloud services. Granted, the issues concerning internet speed in certain regions are slowly being taken care of, but in the interim it creates a lot of problems.

yeah i see what you mean, fast internet connection will become essential and also, there would be a lacking of good games for say, traveling, where internet connection is rare.
