Ever since team Danger put their mind into Android it has been in perpetual evolution. It is this movement that has changed the technological landscape and engendered a generation of technological futurists who thrive to know the next big thing. Staying true with this movement inspired surely by Matias Duartes and his clean motif, the Play Store like many things in Google has/will-have as it would seem a make over.
Gone are the thank you for downloading page, the extra clicks and clutters. Welcome are the bigger icons, the cleaner font styles, the visceral layout and the smaller things. Things like automatically having auto update instead of opting in for it. Small yes, but having to search for it in the menu is one more thing I would rather not have to worry about.
Searching can sometimes be overwhelming. Text seems to blur into each other and a mild state of dyslexia sets in. The new Play Store solves this with visual appeal, italicized text, and thank goodness for less pages. The Android Play Store team had finally updated the UI with a more Holo Theme in tune with the rest of the already beautiful OS. As the theme of android become more and more cohesive in tune with our innate understanding the learning curve has been dramatically reduced. In fact many times over the new add on are not so much more, but better.
In the end it is the small things that really get in the way. Here is to hoping this is our new Play Store.
