Not with the competition still out there.

Apple has simplicity and a solid OS.

We also have Windows Surface tablet, you can get the full desktop windows 8 (not the RT version) Surface tablet and can replace most desktop/laptop and also can act as a tablet with it’s touchscreen and the metro interface.

+1 I don’t think Apple is going anywhere in the near future. Their OS still has diehard fans just as Android has their own.

As much as I like competition, I wouldn’t mind seeing Windows RT disappearing. It’s oversaturating the tablet market and it actually doesn’t help bring down the prices. The current windows RT tablets are priced where Windows 8 Pro devices should be. RT needs to die

Apple will always be in the picture. Windows will be too but i cant see them getting too large of the market share. You can tell that their Microsoft understands that the world of the PC is becoming a smaller piece of the pie and is trying to adapt. The wildcard right now I feel is RIM. They need Blackberry 10 to do well or their death would pretty much be solidified.

But i Think Others like (Rim,Windows Phone ,WebOS ) Go die as soon as possible , The market sharing shows that the competition will be only between android and iOS .

Not good for competition = not good for innovation = not good for prices. It’s never good when big names go under

But People decide which one is good or which one is not good.

Everything would be crap without competition. It drives the developer and manufacture. So android fans say thanks to the apple that someone took a bite from and never finished.

Google continues refining and improving android so I don’t see it going away anytime soon, also competition is a good thing and will continue to push the likes of apple and google and make their OS’s even better than they are now.

Did you know that 75% of the world’s smartphones are running ANDROID?!

Everyone thinks that Apple is king of smartphones when in actuality its Android! For example, Samsung outsold the iPhone 5 (and still is). And before that Samsung outsold the iPhone 4S.

Apple is not top dog of smartphones. Android is. Apple is the king of MARKETING. Android is the actually king of sales. And these numbers Apple can’t lie their way out of.

Android owns the smartphone market. Now tablets… Apple got in there 1st and is holding down first place but Android is closing in on them with devices like the Nexus 7, Nexus 10 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.

But overall for total mobile sales, Android is top dog worldwide. It may seem to you in your area that iPhone is winning but world wide its not. Android is.

nice sating, and android in market sharing day after day will increase largely due to iphone.

I think the majority of the markets in various regions of the world will be dominated by Android. Apple will survive as well since it has a strong footing in gaining loyalty from the youth. Windows has a solid chance to catch up because its OS is drastically different and a lot of people do love it. RIM is in trouble but we’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and hope they can wow us with their new version next year.

Also, I think manufacturers will become very important. As Android becomes more popular and powerful, manufacturers will be sorted out based on their phones’ quality and build beyond the specs.

The first thing that came to my mind when I read the title of this thread was:

But yeah, I feel happy because people is actually learning about specs and becoming more “picky” about what they buy but I dont think all the people will go to Team Android in the future. There’s people who dont want to know what’s going on with their phones, that’s why iOS exist (jk); and there’s people who’s loyal to their brand and all that stuff. But I like that people is becoming more passionate about their phones. That’s good no matter what phone you use.
