Popular apps that suck: ESPN Radio

I wonder if we start calling out apps that suck, if the developers would fix them

ESPN Radio is a good example. This paid app runs $2.99 and it’s broken. The dev hasn’t updated it since July 22, 2011. I paid for it and I’m kind of upset that it doesn’t even work.

Can anyone think of other good examples?

I’ve never tried ESPN Radio but when a paid app doesn’t work it sucks even worse.

Lots of reaaaally popular weather apps suck pretty bad.

All the weather ones are pretty horrible. I usually just go to nws.noaa.gov to check directly… The one relatively cool app I have is Radar Now!

Words With Friends – this one actually works fine but I just hate using it. Probably just personal preference, still, I’m sure that’s not the reaction any developer would want from their users

Facebook makes me want to cry blood. Its bad enough that I’m toying with the idea of learning to make apps this summer by making a Facebook version of Boid.

The TD bank app is brutal. If I were trying to instil confidence in mobile/online banking, I would make my app look awesome and modern and secure, rather than hideous and slow.
Every function is hidden behind the menu key rather than using the launchpad UI pattern, its bizarre.

Funny you guys brought this up, I was just looking at the ESPN radio app to see if it got any better and all I read was complaints, so I avoided downloading it.

Any app that is free and has ads but doesn’t have an add-free paid version.

Apps that are only available on 10 devices (I’m looking at you, NBA Jam!!).

Td banking app is by far the worst horrendous piece of shit I have ever seen …. When you pull down to look at your stocks you need to sign in again or open another app or safari then you need to sign in again and you need to go to their full site to add a payee for email transfers ….. Are you guys kiddin me who made this app and how much did TD pay them because it needs to be revamped
