Thoughts on mobile browsers

I have a HTC Inspire 4G phone running 2.3.3 and a Acer A500 tablet running 4.0.3.
Before I got my tablet, I used my phone for most of my internet usage. I’m not of a fan of the stock browser on my phone, I use Skyfire most of the time.
On my tablet, I use the stock browser more than Skyfire. Really only use Skyfire to browse GameFaqs as it is easier to browse in Skyfire.
I’m curious if anyone else found their browser preferences changing when they changed software or equipment.

Get Dolphin for your phone and Chrome for your tablet

Agreed. Chrome and dolphin are the best.

Wish they’d have flash support though.

Dolphin and Chrome. Just needs flash support.

I use chrome for both phone and tablet, I really like what Google is doing with chrome and continues to improve and make it even better.

I’ve tried Dolphin, but I didn’t like it much. Maybe it was my device but it ran too slow for my liking.
Its been a while since I tried Chrome, I’ll have to check it out.

I was using dolphin for a long time (now with just pack) but once chrome got its kinks worked out I have been using it a lot more. I like the Ability to sync. When I shut down my laptop I can go to my tablet and just continue with whatever tabs I had open. It is also very smooth and pretty fast. Doesn’t force close as much as dolphin seemed to. However I miss the gestures that dolphin has

I use the stock Jellybean browser on my phone but prefer the chrome while on a tablet. The feature set of chrome is better but the lag and stuttering gets in the way of the experience.

I still have a lot of glitches and problems with Chrome from time to time. I still use it as my only browser, but I just don’t understand how it isn’t the most stable as it’s Google’s baby….

Love to use Chrome as swiping through the tabs is great as it remindes me of webOS. For me it has the best tab overview and is running pretty smooth and can handle all the sites and render them correctly.

I have to change constantly to find compatible browsers…I look up a lot of info at work and find it hard to find one that can handle all the sites with flash/Java/whatever without issue. Hoping that gets better someday

I’ve had some heartburn over dolphin. They had that infamous screwup over user privacy which just should never have happened. Sloppy development standards in practice there.

And it’s been slow and buggy the times I’ve tried it.

Chrome is reasonable and the side swipe controls in the stock browser are genius.
