What is your favorite game on Andoird?

This can be a fun and quick way to discover new games!
Name the game, give one reason as to why, and if you play it on a phone, tablet, or both.
If you have more than one, feel free to list them all!

I’ll start it off,
NBA JAM, simple yet addicting gameplay and good graphics, playing on GSII.

  • George

I like Radiant Defense. Simple but addictive. It also has nice, colorful graphics.

  • Himmat

Check out free games like Major Mayhem (superb) and Megatroid (OK). Among my favourite lesser known paid games are Zombie Smash and Puddle THD>

  • rsanchez1

I’m partial to emulators. My favorite emulator right now is GBA.emu which was recently released. I was using Gameboid before, but it couldn’t run some of my games, while GBA.emu runs all my games just fine.

If we’re not talking emulators, as rsanchez1 mentioned, my favorite Android game(s) would probably be Call of Duty Black Ops Zombies or Super Tic Tac Toe. (Disclaimer: I’m affiliated with Super TTT.) In the past, I’ve really enjoyed Planetary Wars and I sometimes play Minecraft – Pocket Edition.

    CoD Black Ops Zombies [$6.99]

Super Tic Tac Toe (Super TTT) [FREE]

    Planetary Wars [FREE]

    Minecraft – Pocket Edition [$6.99]

    Minecraft – Pocket Edition [DEMO]

If you like strategy, give Super TTT or Planetary Wars a spin! Super TTT is turn based, Planetary Wars is more real-time.

@Himmat: Giving Major Mayhem a try, looks like a 3dish version of Metal Slug.

Euchre Free – I love euchre, but live far away from anyone who seem to be capable of playing. :) I can sit and waste endless amounts of time playing on my phone!

  • geiko

I love Gyro. Great little game, and it’s free.

The Wreckless driving series is also great. There’s Reckless Racing and Reckless Getaway.

I’m sort of getting tired of the Angry Birds-type physics game layout where you can earn three stars a level, and levels continually get harder as you go along. I also want to see more original content launching either alongside iOS, or exclusively on Android.

    • DroidPower

wow, thanks! just tried Gyro out, absolutely amazing!

and i agree, the angry birds styled games are getting a bit old. games like gyro are really a breath of fresh air

  • GreenH0rn

Tetris, the EA version s**** but the game is still the best. Does anyone know another simple tetris version?

  • Befickeelp

Puzzle and dragons is good too.

too bad the english version is not yet released in android.

  • 8japps

Now I can block Ads from all my games without rooting my phone

  • kookeetree

Smule – Magic Piano. Great game. It’s not like a real piano. Smule made it fun and a game to play piano. It’s sorta like guitar hero but piano version.

  • doublin

Shadowgun Deadzone for its console-like feeling, great graphics and for being a multiplayer game.
I’m playing it on a N7 using touch controls,no console controller.

  • JohnnyRocket

I think my all time favorite would have to be AirAttack HD:

It’s pretty short, but still is a lot of fun even after finishing it multiple times!

  • gavinb

    Shadowgun or Samurai Vengeance 2

  • Thor997

Air control HD, simple and very addictive, and also mini motor racing.

    • crossbred900

I play Air Control HD too.

  • sandy105

i ve never been more impressed by a mobile game as than by nfs:most wanted.
the graphics are just so good.and the controls really work, its nice to play..
the road and reflections on cars ,blur effect .it was fantastic to look at.
after asphalt 7 ;this was just so so much better.

also shadowgun deadzone and dead trigger are very nice when you want to pass time

  • SGB101

Mini motor racing is one of my faves.

  • DroidPower

Has anyone tried this game Cogs? It’s a puzzle game in a 3D playing field. Really well done!

    • w5t1h7

I love that game! hours of fun and it gets pretty hard, great for those times you are waiting and need something to keep you busy

  • w5t1h7

A great game is this one called Waking Mars, i have around 13 hours of fun, theres not much violence and the story its brilliant! i got it in the last humble android bundle with a few others

  • heynomi4u
  • HardNoks

Knights of Pen and Paper – https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=br.com.beholdstudios.knightspp

It’s got some really simple rpg gameplay and nice visuals and I am really enjoying it.

    • crossbred900

I just started to play Knights of Pen and Paper a bit the other night.

  • scaarg

Ingress, Mayor Mayhem, Guerrilla Bob for multiplayer, Rayman Jungle Run, Subway Surf and GTA III. When I see those, I’m really glad I’ve a Razr Maxx.

  • pol biswas

Try out metal gear; cur stunt challenge.

  • kinkate18nic

  • breckdroid

As of late, I’ve really been enjoying Beach Buggy Blitz.

  • fenlon

I am not too into games on the phone, but recently I was obsessed with World of Goo. I know it is an older game, but I had never heard of it. You can try out the demo before you buy

  • aranea

I enjoy graBLOX as a puzzle game on my nexus 4. It’s simple but good for those short waiting times that you have. There are tons of levels.

  • SGB101

    Plaige Inc.

‘Risk’ type game where you try and effect and destroy the whole planets population.

Warning, once you start you may loose hours.

  • da9el

my favourite game is ingress. it’s about going around and hacking virtual portals. good for people that want to combine sports with games:)

  • nirupamclassteacher

Increase the speed of the car, refill the fuel tank and more by choosing the right answer. The quicker the player answers, the better are the chances to win the race.

  • Teebor

    Pretty much anything by Kairosoft

Game Dev story (an old favorite)
    Dungeon Village

    Non Kairo games:
    Plague Inc
    Royal Revolt
Cut The Rope (and cut the rope experiments)
    Wheres my water
Wheres my perry (its a sequel so its better)
    Anomaly HD
    Hill Climb Racing
    Snuggle / smuggle truck
    World of Goo

For tablets Avadon: The Black Fortress is a good old fashioned rpg
Osmos (I prefer it on a tablet but it is also on phones)

  • macintosh

Penku, its a tiny puzzle game but insanely addictive. and its got no stupid candy in it.

  • tkarel

Ruzzle. cross-platform, two minute rounds, in-game chat, multi-lingual, free/paid, phone/tablet. Faster game play than Scrabble knock-offs, a good combination of addictive and easy-to-put-down.
    Oh, and the Spanish Inquisition.

  • Kartel

Its really challenging as I still haven’t been able to reach the end. But its simple enough to keep me playing. The link is below

  • Gonzalo Martino

I am quite in love of Super Hexagon, I know its a hard game but I am a hardcore player myself xD
