Who Here Currently Uses a T-Mobile Monthly 4G Prepaid Plan?

I am in the market for a new phone and plan by the end of this year when my contract on my family plan ends. I am moving to my own individual plan, and I know that I definitely don’t want to be on any 2-year contract bullshit. My hope is that I can get some people on here to offer some direct feedback that have experience using the Monthly 4G plan.

For those that do use it, would you recommend it?

For those that have used it but don’t anymore, what made you switch? Would you recommend something different?

How slow is data once you hit the designated 4G bandwidth?

100 minute plan. I tend to only talk to my older brother for more than a couple of minutes and that is only when I am home. How easy is it to talk over wifi to not use minutes or data? What is the call quality like?

Any input on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

Ted, I am in transition with my family moving from Verizon contract family plan to T-mobile’s no contract 100 min month unlimited data 4G plans individually for each of our four family members. We pay $30 a month for each of the kids prepaid plans. So far I dropped (paid off) Verizon for the two kid’s phones and bought them T-mobile android beginner phones new for $150 each. They were thrilled! My wife and I have high end smart phones (Galaxy Nexus and Droid Bionic) which we will be selling back to Best Buy and buying some unlocked smart phones, not sure which ones yet. T-mobile’s service here is as good or better than Verizon, so far so good on the transition. This year are total savings will only be about $400 due to having to buy new phones and buy out of our Verizon contract. But next year we will save more than $1,100. for the same amount of data usage, txt, and calling minutes that we have been using.
