The HTC Hero has received a lot of buzz for its physical design and new user interface. HTC Sense is the name for the newly designed UI and its set to debut across a number of devices. Developers have recognized the popularity of the HTC widgets and began to release copies. Now users with the original G1 can make their phone look like the beloved Hero.
LevelUp Studio has released a pack of Hero widgets to the Android Market under the name Beautiful Widgets. Included with the set are widgets for clock with weather, WiFi, Bluetooth, and airplane mode.
My favorite of the group is the Beautiful Home Widget which includes large time display, current city, weather icons, and forecast information. Geolocation is used to detect the weather and time so no setup is required. Temperature is available in Celsius or Fahrenheit and a 24hr clock can be toggled. There is a refresh time you can set for weather updates, or just tap the widget to reload it.
Beautiful Widgets is a paid app currently selling for $1.39. The developer has already released several updates and added new widgets to the pack. Go purchase his app so he is inspired to keep adding more. I’d like to see the browser, text, and contacts widgets ported next.

It’s cool, but I was hoping the time and weather widget could look as nice as the Android Apps widget.
And I also hope they come out with a text widget.
I agree Ricky, too much graphics, it will tend to look as a toy….
In 2002+ there was a tendency to strip design more to the barebone in interfaces… now we’ve had that and you get colourful decorative themes… though in mobiles is it handy, and does it only eat memory and othe resources?
But text widgets will come. come on! I don’t need a rainy cloud visualized! Hahaha 16ª/partly cloudy/nw wind is enough for me in 10px font !!! That will eat soly 0,05% of my screen and less on resources…
so strip it down… u do know u can do whatever u want… u want boring… youre more than welcome to it…
also there is photoclock with hero clock design, and also there is weather widget 2.1 with the flip clock and weather in one.
In xda forums you can find hero widgets fr wifi,ringer,bluetooth,brightness and gps.
We alsmost have all apart from bookmarks, and contacts on the home screen.
It’s not bad, still needs a few wrinkles ironed out. Worth the price.

So if we have downloaded this on our G1 and get the mytouch3G do we have to repay?
Not if you use the same Google Account for the MyTouch3G… Purchases are attached to your Google Account and not to the device.
it looks good but i was wondering why not just a theme in general with htc hero widgets like maPPn did for cupcake. I think every wants to experience the idea of having the htc ui without the cooked rom that slows the home screen. please not just the home screen but icons and widgets does anyone agree

I do like how the widgets look, nice and sleek
i think top of the list for me would be a sms/mms and email widget similar to the hero one where you can flick scroll through them

I wouldn’t say it looks awful.. it’s not the same clock you see on the ERIS which I was the clock I was looking for. I’d be nice if the author could use a different font that isn’t so boorish… The other problem I’ve experienced is that none of the other widgets from this pack work with the droid. I am unable to use the bluetooth widget. An update would be very nice.

There will be a symbol like a basket in green color in your mobile.choose it , it will show application, gams, entertainment etc. u can choose the type of android application u want to download from the market
