Can your Android phone roller skate? PLEN does

Do you have more money than you know what to do with? Would you like a $3,000 mini-robot that can skateboard, vacuum, and play ball? PLEN is a remote controlled walking robot that measures 23 cm tall and is 700 g in weight. Some of you might recognize the cute robot because he has been around since 2007, but someone went ahead and ported the controls to an Android app. I’m not exactly sure its worth 3k, but it would definitely be fun to control with your phone. We will let you know when someone figure out the accelerometer controls.

It appears only 50 units were made, but some are still available for purchase. I wonder why.

I’m bummed that no matter how cool our robots get they always look like they are about to fall over at any minute.
