HTC Desire launching in Europe next month

HTC wasn’t kidding when they announced the HTC Desire has been accepted by “almost every key carrier in every key country“. European carriers have been all over the phone and some have already revealed their plans. Vodafone was at the HTC event to announce their support of the Desire, T-Mobile UK will launch the device on March 26th, and Orange will offer the phone free on contract in April. Other reports coming in suggest that both O2 and 3 will also carry the Desire.

No United States carriers have announced their support, but we think most are waiting for CTIA on March 23th. HTC has relationships with the largest four carriers in the U.S. and it looks like all could offer the phone over the next couple of months.

    ARRRRGH!!!
This phone better come to T-Mobile USA or I will end my contract.
I don’t care what kind of ETF they charge me….
And I’m not talking about a stripped down Sense-less version either….
T-Mo better not mess this one up! =p

      Have mercy.
All I want in life is for this phone to come to T-Mob *WITHOUT* Sense UI.
Because Android with a wrapper is like sex wearing a condom. Sure, it’s better than owning an iPhone, but it still sucks.

Also, you’re going to be crying yourself to sleep every night after FroYo comes out and you have to wait 6-9 months while HTC updates their wrapper for Android 2.3, while those of us who wipe and root out of the box will have clean updates *before* they go OTA.

If it does come to US with Sense…wouldn’t it be possible to just disable it and use Android Stock UI? Or would you still have issues?
