LG had a quiet Mobile World Congress (as expected) while they gear up for a major announcement at CTIA. However, they still participated at MWC and were showing off the GT540 that we spotted at CES.
The LG GT540 is headed for a global release in April and we hear Rogers might bring the phone to Canada.
And.roid.es was at Mobile World Congress and captured a quick video preview for us. LG has designed a simple home screen switcher, but it doesn’t look as impressive as what we have seen from HTC. LG definitely has some work ahead of them if they want to impress us at CTIA with their next Android phone.
Highlights of the GT540 include:
- 600 MHz Qualcomm MSM7227
- 3.2 inch resistive touchscreen display
- 512 MB RAM, 256MB ROM
- 3 megapixel camera
- 3.5mm headset jack
- Android 1.6
