We were a little shocked when we learned Qik might be charging $5 per month for its video chat service, but it turns out the fee is juts for premium options.
Customers who opt for the premium service will receive extras such as higher quality video, unlimited video archiving, video mail, and priority support. The premium option will include a monthly $4.99 subscription fee that will be bill via PayPal, but all EVO customers can test out these features for free till July 15th.
I would love to share my experiences with the new app, but it’s not available in the Android Market yet (even though Qik claims it is). Instead, we have a quick video demo after the break.
