If you haven’t noticed lately, there’s been a flurry of Android news over the past few days. Motorola and Samsung appear to be gearing up for a global Android faceooff. Huawei may not have the financial backing to take on the big boys, but at least they have the common sense of using FroYo on their upcoming Android handset.

Huawei’s newest Android 2.2 phone is expected to launch in China this August. No name has been released yet, but the device is expected to feature a 2.8” QVGA capacitive display, 3.2 MP camera with dual LED flash, 3G connectivity, and the Google logo on the back makes us think it will include full support for Google’s apps.

The unnamed Huawei device may not be groundbreaking in any way, but it’s nice to see that someone other than Google could be pushing out a stock build of Android 2.2 without any of their proprietary skins.
