Trio of HTC Android phones leak out

HTC is expected to unveil their lineup of new Android phones in just a few weeks at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and PocketNow has posted some renders of what they might look like. Included in the leak is a new flagship phone believed to be the Desire 2, a miniature Nexus One design, and a mid-range model with call buttons.

No specs were revealed, but we are hoping that HTC will finally show off a smartphone featuring Qualcomm’s dual-core Snapdragon processor. We recently saw a demonstration of the dual-core Snapdragon at CES last week where Qualcomm said they were very happy with the state of upcoming products and that they would be very compelling.

We will be in Barcelona starting February 13th, so check back next month for some hands-on reports of HTC’s latest devices.

    Looks good!

The look of those three don’t look all that interesting, to me anyways. But you have different crowds out here so can’t expect everything to be a superphone. So I respect what it is.

I like my trackball, and am kind of sad that most of the upcoming awesome devices are lacking them. This Desire 2 even looks like it’s missing a trackpad?

    • fatspirit

It should have it. Sensory maybe.

    • http://www.twitter.com/qimolsen @QimOlsen

I never use the trackpad anyway.
Do you guys really use it? I might have used it thrice, or so.

  • http://Website Anthony

Please HTC, If you love me you’ll have a duel-core, 1 gig RAM, 4″~4.3″ Screen, Android 2.2~2.3, 16 gig storage (32 gig expandable with SD card) phone with front-back cameras, a size-able battery (1900+mha), and maybe an HDMI out….

Oh and biggest thing, not exclusive to AT&T!

    Make it happen! :D

    • http://Website Anthony

Too bad i cant edit my comment… meant *dual-core*.

      Dueling cores just sounds counterproductive.

    • http://Website AceoStar

I’m with Anthony. HTC, !PLEASE! prevent me from getting the Atrix by releasing a dual core soon.

  • http://Website Hans

Hm, I wonder how a dual core Snapdragon compares to the Tegra 2.

  • http://Website TheFief

They look good, the one on the left reminds me of the Nexus One with out a track ball

  • http://Website Mike

I still love the design of the Desire. Obviously the one on the far right must be the Desire 2. They could have kept the track ball at the bottom though. HTC needs to release a phone that has a dual core, 1GB RAM, HDMI output, 8MP+ Camera, SD-Slot, and they need to really raise their internal memory, 1-2GB is useless. It’s better to have enough Internal (NAND) memory inside, but still keep a SD-slot just in case. NAND (internal) memory performs a lot better than micro SD-cards. If they don’t release something like this, while still keeping a slim profile the original desire/nexus one, then I’m going with the Moto Atrix. Or MAYBE Samsung might not dissapoint with their new Galaxy lineup. I’m not waiting anymore for WP7, I was going to get one at first, but Microsoft (HTC, Samsung, LG) really dissapointed on the hardware. Android is the way to go.

@Anthony and Aceostar…. There could be a htc evo 2 4g announcement at mobile world congress and it will be destined for sprint 4.5INCH SCREEN, DUALCORE SNAPDRAGON PROCESSOR, NEW HTC SENSE, DLNA, FRONT AND REAR CAMERA’S, 1930MILAMP BATTERY,… HTC EVO 2 4G WILL AGAIN RULE ANDROID

Hey Richard do you have any info to support this? If it’s true I’ll be very happy; though a 4.5″ screen teeters a bit on the large side for me. Honestly though if an Evo2 4G did appear with these specs I’d probably get it regardless if it’s 4.5″.

    • http://Website AceoStar

I can only hope. I’d switch to sprint imediately

I’d take the first one if it’s dual-core and at least a 4-4.3 screen with a kickstand preferably lol(EVO 2). To the people that said video calls was a gimmick, you’re really eating those words now. It’s becoming a standard feature even for mid-range devices. I need to see what capabilities it has but IMHO the first device looks better than the Atrix or Bionic.

HOLY CRAP!! The one on the left is basically a N1 with a FFC and no trackpad!!! The only reason I got the G2 after my N1 went kurplunk was because of the simialer design. I just hope the first device which reminds me of my beloved N1 will be fitted w/ Tmo HSPA+, Dual core, 4 inch super Amoled or Super Amoled plus. I alrdy see a ffc, now hoping for a 1.5Gb or more Ram, abt 16Gb internal storage, 32Gb micro SD card expansion slot, 8megcam w/ HD 720 or 1080, dobly surround sound w/ dual speakers, bigger batt abt 2000mAh, HDMI out, ofcz Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Will love it to be unlocked pure Vanilla Android (wishful thinking) and HTC sense as a Widgit that can be clicked on/off just like SPARK . Looking for a worthy replacement for my N1 which i must add still works flawlessly w/ Froyo so i can just imagine will work even better w/ Gingerbread. So what better device to do that with than an N1 look alike. Tmobile get cracking and make sure ur logo is on that first device…

I expect some thing big and exceptional from HTC as always. I wanna see another world’s 1st from them. And, the hardware is already good as desktop PC so Android latest, like 2.3 will do a great job on those.
