We have been reporting for awhile that Motorola would have a big Super Bowl ad this year and the company just confirmed it with a teaser video uploaded to YouTube. The video is meant to promote the upcoming Xoom Honeycomb tablet and pokes fun at Apple’s iPad. “2011 looks a lot like 1984. One authority. One design. One way to work. It’s time for more choices. It’s time to explore. It’s time to live a free life.”
The 3G version of the Xoom is expected to be in stores by the end of February, but Motorola Mobility CEO Sanjay Jha said it could slip to March. Interestingly, one of our sources said the target launch date is February 15th, with online orders shipping February 24th. Rumored pricing has been in the $700-800 range, but I’m hoping Verizon will bring that down.

Hopefully the Xoom does better than the Motorola Devour, which was the featured product of Motorola’s last Super Bowl ad.
