Say what you want about the SONY Ericsson XPERIA X12 Arc, but that’s not going to keep SE from releasing the handset.  Play.com has just posted their pre-order page for the handset, with an expected launch date of April 1st.  The price for the XPERIA X12 Arc is set at £459.99 (roughly $725 including tax) which is only £10 more than the similarly equipped HTC Desire HD.  Don’t be surprised if more pre-order pages for the SONY Ericsson XPERIA X12 Arc start popping up over the next few days.

We know SONY Ericsson has gotten off to a rough start, but let’s give them a little credit.  The revamped UI, improved camera, and curved design certainly help set the Arc apart from the competition.  Adding to that, the XPERIA X12 Arc is currently the only Android phone expected to launch with Android 2.3 already loaded up.  SE may not have the best track record when it comes to upgrades, but this time around they’ll have at least a six month head start over Motorola, Samsung, and LG.
