More proof of Droid X2 carrying a dual-core processor

Though exciting to see them coming, devices like the Droid X2, the Droid Incredible 2, and the Motorola Droid 3 have not received the credit they deserve, and that is simply because there just isn’t enough information about them.

A few months ago, we heard some rumored specs about the Motorola Droid X2, which included a dual-core Tegra 2 processor, and Android Central has just received some nice evidence to supports this. Android Central’s anonymous tipper has provided a video of the device booting up, and the boot animation says “DUAL CORE” in big bold letters.

With more proof of the Droid X2 carrying a meaty Tegra 2 dual-core processor, more of you will surely consider making this your next device. All the details available is still based on rumors and leaks, but do stay tuned for more information, as these devices seem to be just around the corner. Hopefully we will get an official announcement soon…

Check out the video to see the Droid X2′s boot animation, and let us know your opinion on this bad boy! You think it might be your next device?

it’s called Photoshop, not proof… just like they Photoshopped that “with Google” logo …

The proof was the video, not the picture… Nice try though, you’ll get them next time with your highly acute picture viewing, non text reading ability.

Regardless of the potential dualcore Droidx2 will be nothing more than a 3g device on Verizon just like the Droid Incredible 2 and the Droid 3.. Why Verizon has decided to seperate there devices by Lte or 3g devices have no clue. The Thunderbolt and Droid Bionic will Lte capable guess that’s why they feel it’s OK to charge 300.00 and 250.00 for their LTE devices.. Someone needs to PIMP SLAP the ceo of Verizon.

Actually…there isn’t much information to prove/disprove your opinion. For sure, the Incredible 2 will be 3G, but the X2 and Droid 3…no real info yet. Unless you count that leaked document saying the X2 will be an LTE phone. If it’s true, half of your post is moot.

As for the prices of LTE phones: How much do you want to bet the EVO3D will cost between $250-$300?

      • http://Website Richard Yarrell

As you said price is MOOT.. I just want to see the BEAT DOWN your Samsung Galaxy S2 gets from the Evo 3d can’t wait. Samsung has much too owe to htc making them go back to the drawing board and coming to market with something respectful. Htc sense 3.0 is what made the birth of touch wiz 4.0 cause that junk they showed us in January during CES was a joke. Htc is making everyone STEP UP THERE GAME nothing is better than the Htc Evo 3d or Htc Sensation period definitely not your droid x2 that’s for sure.

I’m guessing it has to do with future separation if pricing for 3g and 4G phones. Someone who doesn’t have 4g service shouldn’t be forced into a pool of 4G-only smartphones (device price, monthly price, etc.). Make sense?

I still can’t believe this is real. Why are motorola and verizon selling the DX2 AND the Bionic? 2 dual core phones, with the same memory, screen size, and resolution. The only thing I can think of is maybe one isn’t LTE, but that would be stupid unless it’s at a significant discount.

  • http://Website snowbdr89

Well dick since verizons 3g is fastee then that pathetic wimax whats the need for all phones to be 4g? Im happy with vzws line up, quality along with a large selection!!

    • http://Website Hans

Okay,I’m all for debates and such but stupid comments like yours are just…idiotic. Verizon’s 3G is under slower than WiMax, but LTE is faster than WiMax. I’m sure Verizon has thought ahead when it comes to keeping LTE speeds around where they’re currently at.
