LG Prada K2 captured on video

LG-Nexus-3

Originally leaked in late July as one of LG’s 2011 flagship devices, the LG Prada K2 has been caught on film showing a design identical to a render floating around with the same name attached.

While the video doesn’t give away any information, it’s nice to see the device maintain the slick, minimal form-factor early leaks pointed towards. As far as rumored specs go, the Prada K2 is slated to hit shelves this holiday season with Android 2.3, a dual-core processor, an 8MP camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 16Gb of internal storage, 21Mbps HSPA+ and a 4.3-inch NOVA display boasting 1,000 nits of brightness. After all that is packed inside, the Prada K2 will still remain a slender 8.8 millimeters thick.

With an entire of fleet of dual-core Android devices launching in the coming months, the Prada K2 will have to rely on overall thinness and LG’s NOVA display to try and stand out from the pack. Up against the Droid Bionic, Galaxy S II and Nexus 3, does LG really have a shot at taking the Prada to the top?

No chance , well not with anyone with an Android knowledge who knows how they screwed up a potential monster of a phone with the G2x

It looks great, and NOVA is awesome, but it’s kinda one of those too little too late scenarios.

PRADA K2 is the worst name ever for a smartphone! Stupid.

Yea i think this phone is going to have a very hard time standing out in the crowd. Personally I probably wont buy it I have my eyes set on other things. That and it reminds me of the movie devil wears Prada.

It’s a fashion phone. It really won’t appeal to many of us readers but it will speak to a more fashion conscious buyer.

Make the bezel a huge bit smaller and it might be a nice phone. But now Its ugly like hell

Looks like one of those ipods that came out right before the touch

Phones with Fashion-embedded isn’t that great to any of us because its rather shitty in overall markets when their are better selections i.e. Samsung Galaxies, Nexus etc.

Honestly, they do stand a chance.
Because the only exciting Galaxy S2 variant is te Hercules which will come out months before this.
The Droid Bionic is a foot-in-mouth phone. It’s been overhyped since Day 1 (not at all impressive)
So idk why you’d even compare it.
The only phone that competes with all is the Nexus 3, which comes out the same time as this baby!
& honestly, NOVA + thiness? Who knows maybe the PRADA could convince a select few.

C’mon, Motorola is dead. Samsung & LG are taking the crown.
As they so happen to be in the running for the Nexus 3 prototype as well :)
Lots of exciting things those two manufacturers.

I don’t think anyone in their right mind would be dumb enough to buy this phone after the G2x/O2x fiasco. The way LG handled that situation should be enough to disqualify them from getting anywhere close to creating a Nexus phone this year, even if Google is the one in charge of the software. I’m all for giving all the major manufacturers a chance, but this time it needs to be HTC or Samsung again.

Well, I think it looks pretty ugly :D
