Google and Motorola may be stealing most of the attention today, but that doesn’t mean we have to go without new details on HTC’s upcoming dual-core devices. The latest news about the HTC Vigor comes to us via a Dutch retailer that posted a picture and specs about the phone. We’re assuming the page was published by mistake, since it’s no longer available on the site. Fortunately for us, HTC Inside was able to capture a screenshot before the page was taken offline.
The specs list for the HTC Vigor includes a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch 1280 x 720 HD display, 8 megapixel camera, Android 2.3.4, HTC Sense 3.5 and Beats by Dr. Dre Technology. All those details match up with what was previously reported about the HTC Vigor, but at least we now know what the phone will look like. The design of the HTC Vigor looks to be a cross between the HTC Sensation and the HTC Desire HD. Previous reports have indicated that the HTC Vigor would be headed to Verizon’s CDMA network. The fact that the phone showed up on a German retail site leads us to believe that HTC may also be working on a GSM variant for the European market.
We’re sure Samsung is getting ready for their big US debut of the Galaxy S II, but it seems like HTC is already one step ahead of them with their fall lineup: the HTC Vigor, HTC Holiday and HTC Ruby. Who do you think will be offering the best dual-core devices between now and the holiday season?
