The HTC Wildfire S is now available from T-Mobile. The price of the Wildfire S is set at $79.99 with a two year contract. But if you’re one of the few remaining Even More Plus customers on T-Mobile’s network, you’ll need to shell out 279.99 for the no-contract price. We’re pretty sure there are few Android enthusiasts waiting on the release of the Wildfire S, but we have a feeling the phone will still sell pretty well. LG has had a lot of success with their entry level Android devices across multiple carriers–so we see no reason why HTC won’t pick up a few customers looking to jump on the cheap side of the smartphone bandwagon.
Specs on the HTC Wildfire S include a 3.2-inch HVGA display, 600 MHz processor, 512 MB RAM and 512 MB of ROM, WiFi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 3.0, 5 megapixel camera and a 1230 mAh battery, all powered by Android 2.3 with HTC Sense. This phone certainly isn’t going to impress any of your friends, but it’s probably the best phone your mom has ever owned.
How many of you have a mom or little sister who still have not upgraded to a smartphone yet? You know you can’t go wrong with HTC.
