Samsung says Galaxy Nexus has been patent proofed against Apple

If you thought the Galaxy Nexus would be the latest device to get caught up in the Apple vs Samsung lawsuits currently taking place around the globe, think again.

Samsung’s mobile president, Shin Jong-kyun, told South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency that the Galaxy Nexus was designed with the company’s current legal problems in mind. He said he’s not totally sure the Galaxy Nexus “will be 100 percent free” of legal troubles, but it shouldn’t face the same scenario the Galaxy S and Galaxy S II have.

In the lawsuits currently taking place, Samsung hasn’t had the best of luck. The company has had to put a hold on sales or update devices that violate patent laws in the Netherlands and Australia. Germany and the United States have also made decisions in Apple’s favor. Samsung has filed suits against Apple in Australia and Japan that could put a hold on sales of the iPhone 4S, but it’s going to be awhile before any final decisions are made in court.

With the Galaxy Nexus set to go on sale in November, the initial release of the device should go off without a problem. Hopefully, it stays that way.

Its patent proof, because there is nothing exciting in ICS. It looks shabby and clunky.

It might have looked shabby to some people during the previews on video but when you get your hands on it, it is going to be awesome. If you don’t like it then good for you. who cares, there are plenty of people who do like it and are going to enjoy using it.

Apple is clearly a disgrace.. Innovation is all that matters and at the end of the day apple has given up being innovative years ago. I applaud HTC and SAMSUNG fully..

No, YOU are clearly the disgrace for saying Apple is a “disgrace”. Sure, Apple has done some pretty low things lately, but they’ve also done some pretty great things. It’s sad that you fail to realize this.

Manufacturers used to make their products in order to satisfy their desires and the need of their costumers. now they have to design around the idea the product may not even be able to be sold ’cause of the Patents War. This is stupid, but good for Samsung for thinking ahead and preparing themselves, but shame on Apple, a company that should be all about innovation and the future, for shutting down the ways of free development.

Soon well be passing from “Sure, look at this phone, is quad-core!” to “Man look at this phone, it be can be sold in ANY country and is not enrolled in some bureaucratic battle”.
