Tablet Fight! Vote for the Sony Tablet S or the Samsung Tab 8.9 for a chance to win

vs-post-image

With the recent wave of Android tablets being announced and launched (seriously, there is a new one like every week), we thought it might be fun to start up an old fashion grudge match between two of the newest tablets on the market. For the next few weeks, we’re going to pit the Sony Tablet S and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 against each other in a series of battles to determine the reigning Android tablet champ.

To keep track of things, we’ve set up the cage match over at androidandme.com/fight. Each week, we’ll post a new question about the tablets for you to answer. Along with the question, each tablet will get a hashtag. To vote, users simply tweet using the correct hashtag. We’ll keep track of all the votes and at the end of the week, one tablet will arise victorious. And then one lucky reader will win the tablet he or she voted for.

This week, for example, we want to know if you’d prefer the #PortsGalore on the Sony Tablet S (full size SD, IR port, etc.) or if you’d rather have the #CrazyThin Tab 8.9 (one of the thinnest and lightest tablets released to date). Which would you prefer?

You can use the buttons above to tweet a pre-composed message, or you can feel free to tweet au naturale–just make sure you include each week’s hashtags. And since this is a vote, you can only side with one tablet. We’ll be checking the random winner to make sure he wasn’t playing both sides of the fence.

You can find more rules and details on the androidandme.com/fight page, along with the vote tally and a list of recent tweets. We’ve also built a sidebar widget for keeping track of the vote, so keep an eye out for that.

As usual, these prizes were provided by our friends over at @NVIDIATegra. If you’d like to see more contests or want the latest multi-core updates, make sure you’re following them on Twitter. Oh and @androidandme. I think we’re pretty cool, too.

With that said, let the battle begin!
