AT&T’s 4G LTE speed tests reach 65 Mbps down

You’ve probably been wondering how AT&T’s new 4G LTE network will compare to Verizon’s. It’s not easy being the first contender to face the fastest 4G network in the US, but it seems Ma Bell might have what it takes.

AT&T’s 4G LTE network has launched in select markets, and data speed tests have already shown up. Ranging from 15-65 Mbps down in Dallas/Fort Worth, San Antonio and Chicago, it does seem AT&T is beating Big Red. At least for now.

Remember, this network is currently under utilized; not many consumers are even able to take advantage of these speeds right now. Once the network gets more congested, we expect speeds to decrease significantly.

Even without a surge of users, 65 Mbps is a very impressive number. I’ve only reached about 25 Mbps on Verizon’s 4G LTE network. Could it be that AT&T will beat the fastest 4G network in America? We’ll have to wait and see, but things do look promising. Hit the source link for more Speed Test images and let us know what you think. Will you be signing up for an AT&T 4G LTE device? If you have been using it, what speeds have you been reaching?
