*Insert the sobbing of 1000′s of people on VZW* (Sobbing, in this context, could be actual crying.. or someone saying ‘Son OF A….’)

    (I’m one of them ;)

    • pjamies

Not if you lived in Canada and were a Bell or Virgin Mobile user .. !! Ah .. Ya …

      • stenzor

Hey now, don’t kick them while they’re down

        • lxgeorge

…. I’m just a poor boy nobody loves me :(

          • http://www.focuszonedevelopment.com Homncruse

…said the Galaxy Nexus as he sat forever alone in the darkened corner of a locked cage in the back of Verizon retail stores.

“Spare me my life from this monstrosity,” he spoke next, desperately trying to hide the tears built up from a life in captivity, made worse by knowing that his foreign cousins live luxurious lives.

    • J-Man

Or in the UK and have had yours for 2 weeks already. ;)

      • Angie Wimberly

You guys over the sea always get sad about things not being in your country, and now when it is, all you do is gloat?!?!?! Haha. I thought you’d be experts at sympathy.

        • Shadowlore

*laughing* I know, right? Still, good to see there’s some light at the end of the tunnel…

“Then it comes to be.. that the soothing light at the end of the tunnel….. is just a freight-train coming your way”…

          Dang musical lyrics…

        • dafi81

I am shocked too where is the famous politeness?

        • mrmrchris

But we’re much better at waiting patiently!

        • J-Man

The famed British politeness is merely a facade. ;)
Also after years of Yanks gloating at us, I think it’s only fair if we get one glistening moment.

  • zyphbear

These are some pretty cool commercials, I wonder if Verizon will air a version of these or if Google will have to foot the bill.

  • YellowDucati

It like pornography. All looky no touchy.

    • Anthony E

What are you talking about? I touch mys- oh you mean the other person? :O

      • SCJaredJ

“What was I doing tapping my phone so aggressively last night? Um….errr…..playing a game!?! Yeah, I was playing a game!”

    • Thomas Biard

Its like showing a starving person a picture of food and saying “This should hold you over until the famine stops”

      • http://patmahoneyjr.com Patrick E. Mahoney Jr.

        Meh, close enough, right?

  • ramenchef

That second ad was quite well done. First one felt like an ad you would see at a movie theatre.

    • Futureboy

I like the concept, but I am surprised that they chose to use Bohemian Rhapsody. It’s a bit of a dark song if you actually listen to it.

      • stenzor

I think they chose it because it’s one of the most popular songs to sing along to and basically everyone knows the lyrics. Also Queen is the best.

        • zerosix

They could use All Day and All of the Night!
And… hm, it looks like a great idea for amateur videos.

  • eioous

How about they just give us a phone already so we wont have to wait!!!!

  • Bryan Stoner

Those were cool XDD I like the animations! This will sure win a lot of people over muHHAhahaha!

  • http://goncalossilva.com goncalossilva

Good commercials, although I think they used 3D BugDroids a bit too much.

  • Deeds

This just makes me want it even more

  • dpleus

They should have gotten Mike Meyers and Dana Carvey together for the second one and re-vived Waynes World. I thought the commercial was a little strange overall. But I liked the first and third ones.

  • mothy

It makes you wonder with these floating out there why the release is being fubared so much, clearly they have the training material and media kits.

    RELEASE THE DAMN PHONE

  • http://pixelswim.com Steve Heinrich

Anger… lessening…….. nope it came back right after that 3rd video finished. Great videos though. I’m going to have to try out the panoramic photo feature in space as well.

  • Isaac Lanado

    Awesome Ads!!!

  • teecruz

those females in the second were pretty attractive!
gotta say, the inclusion of Android robots in the other two were pretty cute themselves! ^.^
    FTW!

  • Skis03

Love these new ads, which I could get the phone soon!!!!

  • Himal Limbu

    awesome..cheered me up….for a while.

  • https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000953902834&ref=tn_tnmn Cesar Ruiz

Can’t wait for ICS on my HTC Evo 3D !!

  • BiGMERF

awesome, thanks for haring taylor !

  • Nate B.

It should of said for all carriers after every ad

  • Arturo Castro

I just want to know if its coming to sprint. but the ads were nice. lol

  • Louis A

Yah they looks good but give us the phones already!

  • redraider133

I like these commercials more than the latest droid commercials. These show off the phone and what it can do like the original droid commercials and Idon’t ones. No point in robots fighting and people having no idea it was a phone advertisement.

  • staryoshi

One thing is undeniable: The Android mascot is cute! :P I feel like they are pushing ICS more than the GNexus, really… Which soon will not be as much of a differentiating factor. (Despite manufacturer overlays)

  • tengo

well done. they add a sense of excitement while showing off the phones capabilities at the same time.

  • AsakuraZero

gotta love that android render its cute as hell

  • Jason Hernandez

“And the wait is over…” I just wanted to practice saying it.

  • http://www.unisenmedia.com Joseph Nadzan

Amazing adds thanks for the article guys.

  • http://theandroidappshow.com Lane Montgomery

I’m glad to see the Nexus brand being more directly marketed toward women, and not in a what I would consider a demeaning way like some other Android phones have been marketed.

  • http://www.jaxidian.org/update/ jaxidian

    Oh, look. Advertising! Interesting….

  • David Hughes

More teasing and a sad heart

  • Jimmy13

Androids marketing can always use a boost. Most people don’t know why it’s so good.

  • jamal

    Great ads Google.

  • Chad

I like the ads it pushes as to what the actual software on the phone can do this is why Apple been winning the ad wars b/c they tell you what the phone/tablet can do for you not like these vzw commercials with spys and robots and “oh look how cool the phone looks” people want to know what it will do to better their personal lives and these ads show that kudos Google, VZW take notes.

    • Billy

Agreed. It actually shows cool stuff that people want to see and not something chopping down poles because it is so thin.

  • pmex83

need to wait till I get home to watch, work blocks all online videos

  • Billy

I liked the Ads. I think they appeal to a much broader audience than the VZW Droid ads.

Mr. Rubin’s Android Pops … on the popcorn box. Lol.

    • stenzor

Mr. Rubin’s is a nice touch

  • cwjones4

<24 hours until i have my hands on this baby….hopefully

  • Marc’us H.

I’m just gonna go cry to myself now.

  • http://www.ericfortin.ca Eric Fortin

these are the worst looking Droid ever… seriously, they look like marshmallows.

    • Lee Swanson

Obi-Wan: These aren’t the ugly, marshmallow Droids you’re looking for.
Storm Trooper These aren’t the ugly, marshmallow Droids we’re looking for.

  • Name

    very sad ads

  • http://www.mikeytusa.com mikeytusa

I’ve seen so many photos and videos of this mythical phone now that I feel like I have already owned it and moved on.

  • xwaylayx

I cant decide if this is a brilliant marketing tactic …or… the worst product launch in history

    • Tony Torres

im pretty sure the worst product launch in history, really want this phone but im losing interest fast.

  • HoLfElDeR

    Interesting ads

  • Jon Shiflett

I hope that this phone gets a real marketing campaign. All the “normals” in my life know about this phone is that they want it to come quick so I just shut up. I wonder if my constant whining about it not being here could actually make them have negative thoughts about it.

Maybe I should just say hopefull things? “it’s going to be so sweet when it comes”

Then again, that’s just not going to happen…

  • calihawki

I initially wanted this phone as much as I wanted the Bionic. I am glad I got the Bionic because there is no way I could handle this long of a delay for another phone. I highly doubt I will get the Nexus now when I was about to pay full retail last month for one.

    • Tony Torres

yeah im about to just get a razor because this wait is killing me!

  • richoid

Great ads. Also kind of glad I’m not eligible for an upgrade at reduced price to be concerned with the delay…

  • Blaw

Enough with those ads… i want the freaking phone !

  • Tony Torres

We dont want ads! we want NEXUS!!!

  • hurric

not sure if i like Andy Rubin’s name there

  • lufy0000

watching these commercials makes me want the phone even more………….when the hell is it really coming out, enough with the delays

  • Hall Lo

Nice teasing with the ads but not the fone ;(

  • http://www.dougarthur.com dougarthur

I wish they would just hurry up. I would have waited, but I have now taken on the Galaxy S2 SkyRocket. Which has a faster processor anyway. Too bad VZW can’t get my business now.

  • eliander mendoza

I like the first one, the others were like….. bah nothing as cool as the first one IMO.

  • zippyioa

This handset has been out for weeks over here in the UK.

  • Felipe

And there are all of us: Who do not live in the USA and probably the Galaxy Nexus will never come to our country.

We have to rely on buying it on a trip to the USA and bringing it home. Assuming the right version ever comes out (right frequencies) AND it is sold with no carrier locks whatsoever AND is sold without ANY plan attached to it.

After all this ridiculous show of “launching the Galaxy Nexus”…I just dare to think if its worth the wait … 2012 will bring lots of ICS new devices and, for sure, much better hardware specs…

By February 2012, when one of the largest telecomm events worldwide comes, the Galaxy Nexus will be a venerable 4 months old phone.. That is a LOT in terms of cell phone aging.

  • aegentirony

I cant wait for the GSm availibility stateside here in retail stores…i hear you can buy it now for just less than 700….But damn 700?

    • laosgurllynn

I agree. Thats pricey to have it right now. I wonder if people had bought it instead of waiting this long.

  • Peter Dowling

These ads make this wait for the VZW Gnexus even longer. Why can’t Google just celebrate Christmas and give everyone one of these phones. It would be evil not to! And their slogan is Do No Evil.

  • Aleksandar Simov

    Queen!!!!!

  • Dan13

The first video made me sad, actually. That poor android spilt his popcorn.

  • mothy

The announcement just hit, release is Tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    YEAH!!!!

  • http://ilysespieces.tumblr.com Ilyse Rose

The first one is adorable, I really like the Hangout one, and the last one is a fantastic demonstration of the panorama camera abilities. All of these commercials are awesome, but I think I like the last one the best.

  • http://youtube.com/user/jawckamoe Marcus

These ads just made me want this phone even more! but… I’m just a poor boy; nobody loves me :(

    • masterpfa

      He’s just a poor boy, from a poor family…

  • KevinN

Congrats to all that waited your fun starts in the morning!!

  • masterpfa

Adverts like these should be played all over the world all the time, especially once the phone has been released in that market, I mean we get adverts for you know who all the time..

These adverts or similar would rock. My favourite as a concept was the second one

    “Can your iPhone do that?”

  • pritams

Now let’s wait for the iphone to start copying….

  • Nathan D.

the adds are not that bad

  • http://ilysespieces.tumblr.com Ilyse Rose

Totally just saw another G+ commercial as an ad on youtube, with a bunch of guys beat boxing. I liked it better than the Queen one.

    • Samar

      LOL

  • Emmanuel Lazcano

    NIce ads!

  • humidity

    lol Love them!

  • Jorge Eslava

    Great ads.

  • the5thdimension

These ads are very cool and clever. I especially like how they’ve been advertising the hangouts feature. It’s good to see google finally advertising a Nexus phone. People need to see how great this phone is and how much it can do.

    • the5thdimension

Now if I could just get my hands on one…

  • Samar

    Loving all 3 vids.

  • http://www.jimtravis.com jimtravis

So far, I have resisted the temptation to pre-order, but after seeing videos like those in this post, I can feel my credit card squirming in my wallet anxious to obtain the latest, and greatest Nexus.

  • http://k-selezneva.blogspot.com/ KatSelezneva

Nice videos. I especially liked the first one with rocks crashing. Can’t wait to have a look at this wonderful device! Galaxy Nexus story: rumors and facts http://k-selezneva.blogspot.com/2011/12/galaxy-nexus-story-rumors-and-truth.html

  • smisa27

I am liking that panoramic picture capability. I love doing that on my regular camera, so even moreso with my camera phone. This is going to make taking pictures a ton more fun!

  • HoLfElDeR

    ga-li-le-oooooooooo

  • sgumer

these are pretty good. i can’t wait to see more.

  • drosseau

It’s good to see that Google is actually promoting this device! I hope this phone turns out to be as good as it seems it will!

  • kerjani

Seems easy to hold this Giant in a woman hand. I would se if they could reach anything on the touch screen, hahaha
