Feb 01 AT 3:40 PM Clark Wimberly 528 Comments (CLOSED)

The week is half over and that means the ref’s whistle just sounded and the first annual Android Bowl has officially reached halftime! If you have not been keeping up, we’ve paired with @NVIDIAtegra to give away three Transformer Prime tablets, complete with quad-core processing power and a keyboard dock to boot.

The bad news is that a bunch of you guys seemed to miss the theme- nay, the spirit of the first post. We’re just using the timing of the big football game to try to parallel a battle between Android brands. While some of you got this, most of you guys tweeted and commented about the actual football teams.

Not that we don’t love some football, but the Android Bowl is about Android. We’re looking to find the brands, carriers, and manufacturers that you guys most trust and enjoy. To play along, you visit the Edit account page and select a carrier and manufacturer. When talking trash and sharing the link, root for your Android team!

Halftime stats

To keep the ball moving, we’re going to share a peek at a few of the Android Bowl stats we’ve racked up so far. We’re not only tracking the number of users each team has, we’re keeping tallies of the actual score and rank of each user, allowing us to make some interesting comparisons.

For instance, even though Verizon is in the top carrier slot by number of users, the And Me Accounts belonging to team T-Mobile actually have a higher average rank. In addition to monitoring the top performers, we’re also keeping a close eye on the bottom of the pack. Motorola currently has the lowest average rank among manufacturers with at least 100 users, while some teams like Amazon don’t have even a single member (no Kindle Fire fans?).

We’ll be back at the close of the Android Bowl to share all the stats you guys created, but we thought halftime might be a good time to head to the locker room and rally your team. Bragging rights are at stake. Is your carrier or manufacturer going to come out on top? If you’d like to talk trash, make predictions, or try to convince your friend to join your team, we’ve left a preloaded tweet box below:

Oh yeah, and the free Primes?

We’re picking a winner from a random comment from each day (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) who will receive a Transformer Prime, with dock, direct from @NVIDIAtegra. We already closed comments on Day 1, comments here will be live (if you’ve entered a carrier and manufacturer) until our next post comes on Friday. Break!

Samsung is like the giants of football. They are taking on the big dog and the underdog will prevail!

  • spazby

Sammy on sprint with unlimited 4g data us the king

    • http://www.jaxidian.org/update/ jaxidian

My unlimited 4G on VZW is TONS faster than your unlimited 4G. Your team is going DOWN!!! ;-)

      • DeadOhioSky39

Jax speaks the truth. Unlimited LTE with a Galaxy Nexus. That’s a tough combination to beat.

      • framcire

HTC ON VZW for the win.

      • romiust

Even with a thunderbolt’s battery I love my LTE speeds

  • Deter

Started my Android experience with the OG Droid by Motorola. Had a Samsung Fascinate that was more trouble than it was worth. Back to Motorola now with the BIONIC and couldn’t be happier.

  • http://www.jaxidian.org/update/ jaxidian

haha, I’m still cheering for the Giants! But I guess, go VZW and GNex! :-D

  • bender.h

    Love my original Transformer

  • http://lawrencesamantha.com olentz

    Go TMOBILE! Beat the odds

  • aranea

I guessed right about Verizon. Good! Let’s see how I’ll do on my guess on the super bowl.

  • TURDxSANDWICH

I loved me some HTC… G1 and EVO4G were both revolutionary devices. But Samsung had the better 2011. Can’t wait to see what 2012 will bring. Those Krait cores and fewer devices could put HTC right back on top!

    And Sprint…. unlimited data!

  • http://pixelswim.com Steve Heinrich

Magenta 32! Magenta 32! Go T-Mobile Samsung! You’re going down other combinations!… although, in good sportsmanship, I still wish you luck. We’re all using Android, so we’re all winners!… lame I know.

  • YMS123

HTC won 2010, Samsung won 2012, and will probably win this year… But everyone with Unlimited 4G on Sprint is a winner, unless you prefer paying the same for 2Gb on AT&T or Verizon

  • Taylor Martin

I’d have to go with Verizon and Samsung by default.

  • nephroid

T-Mobile for the win since they didn’t merge with AT&T and got a bunch of cash for showing up.

  • jm9843

I’ve owned Android devices by Amazon, Barnes & Noble, HTC, Logitech, Motorola, and Samsung.

My favorite manufacturer at the moment is Samsung who is killing it right now. Although in 2012 I have high hopes for Motorola on account of the insane battery in the Maxx and upcoming Google acquisition. And while I wouldn’t want to compromise the next Nexus phone in any way (can anything rival super amoled plus?), it might be refreshing to see a company other than Samsung do the next one. Maybe Sony?

  • plasmoidia

Here’s for another chance to win.

  • recycledkarma

I don’t feel particularly loyal to any brand or carrier. I’m on Sprint because it’s cheaper and the phones are OK. Both of the phones have been HTC, but I really hate Sense.

  • MitchRapp81

Would be cool if it came unlocked and vanilla :p haha

  • EolianPipes

I know that Verizon is a bit controlling, but there cellular service has been the best I’ve ever tried. My Galaxy Nexus is really the reason I have to go with Samsung, not to mention I really appreciate how they want to take on Apple. It seems like the really care about their devices and giving everyone a quality experience.

  • b-bracelet

Samsung is definitely tops in my book. HTC is a close runner up.

  • SuperRon

Big up the Vodafone UK massive, don’t let me be the only one on here!

  • gardenhead

I prefer HTC hardware and styling but I opt for the Nexus line due to top specs, quickest updates, no bloatware, and vanilla android. All Samsung phones I’ve used are buggy and lag. Hoping HTC gets another shot at a Nexus.

As for carrier, I have to laugh every time I get ridiculed for having T Mobile. The same people that give me grief are paying twice a month what I am and have to walk outside to make phone calls in half the buildings they’re in. Long live the big magenta.

  • J-Man

    Limey on Vodafone reporting!

  • Krynn

    sammy on att… yay?

  • wheineman

Hardly any HTC love here! No HTC = No Android! OG!

  • fatejd

Sammy is now the best in my mind, Just look at the design of the GN – sleek, beautiful and strong. They took Apple’s iPhone design a step further.

  • Lightning7

I was right repping Verizon, now let’s see where ol’ Sammy is! Big Red Sams for the first annual Andy Bowl Champs!

  • Nathan D.

Let go T-Mobile for having the highest rank A&M accounts and also this super bowl is going to be fun to watch, also I wonder who going to win those tabs? Well good luck everyone =D

  • Numbertwo

T mobile will rise just like sammy is! Double impact ftw!

  • http://www.jpfowler.com SSJGohon

HTC and T-Mobile all the way to the big game! Been rockin em from the G1 days and havent looked back.

  • Sainttaz

Verizon and Motorola, but can’t wait to upgrade to Samsung in three months….

  • ntan97

Love the quality that comes with Asus products, though they haven’t made an entrance into the phones love it, Phones wise though love HTC, stick it on telus and you got an ok deal…

  • ASUDave

TMO, the ultimate underdog! May never have the money or the fans of the evil Patri…um, Verizon, but their fans are definitely more loyal!!

  • cola

Was a long time HTC Incredible user, but I’ve made the switch to the Motorola Droid Razr and couldn’t be happier.

  • Simon swesnow

ASUS is the best manufacturer. They keep things stock and only change it a little, for the better. they’re also really fast on updates

  • humidity

Go Verizon and Samsung! Woot woot!

  • leganzish

Sprint and HTC are the Patriots of the Android Bowl. Sprint’s unlimited/unthrottled data is the Patriots offense that is never slowed, and HTC is Bill Belichick. They may do some shady things (CarrierIQ), but they do enough to keep the commissioner off their back (unlockable bootloaders) and just keep winning! Plus like the Patriots Super Bowl drought has come to an end, HTC’s focus on fewer high quality phones will return them to the glory in the android community they once enjoyed.

    • leganzish

-1 Already? Ouch! Crap, that must have sounded too much like Dick Yarrell! The old And Me account is not off to a good start. Oops. :-)

      • Jason Hernandez

Back to square one. We all hit some rough patches, but such is shaving.

  • Lonnie Brownell

Verizon, have a Samsung DROID Charge, had an OG DROID (which I still use as my alarm clock), looking at an HTC Rezound. Unlike the Super Bowl, I want ‘em all to win–I’m rooting (in both senses of the word) for Android.

    Oh, and the Giants.

  • Thomas Biard

My head coach is Verizon, my QB is Motorola
My backup QB that may be first string next season is Samsung. Only time will tell as my QB’s contract is up at the end of this season.

  • baywalk

T-mobile has the cheapest unlimited data plans.
And with an unlocked gsm smartphone, you don’t have to pay the more expensive smartphone data plans that other carriers have.

  • GuyWithDogs

I will be hard-pressed to ever switch from Verizon since I have the unlimited data plan grandfathered into my contract. It would take either a much better plan, a significant “life event” (as the insurance companies say), or a really, REALLY awesome device on a different carrier.

  • spoon201

Samsung easily. I absolutely love my Nexus S and will eventually get a Galaxy Nexus. After HTC’s terrible battery life, Samsung is a welcome change.

  • Bob Bennett

Moto Bionic on VZW gets me by

  • triangle

Verizon definitely has the best network right now, but they are not the most budget friendly, so it’s clearly not the best for everyone. It depends on what your priorities are. But if you want the best network, I don’t think anyone can argue this point.

Samsung’s becoming the best android device maker led by their screens. Doesn’t hurt that they launched the Galaxy Nexus, but I can also see why HTC has some diehard fans. Different strokes for different folks, but I love the Samsung screens along with the thin and light form factors that their phones have.

I’m just glad we have lots of choice for devices and carriers for android.

  • euio

I was going to root for AT&T-Mobile but i guess we found you can have too many coaches on one team. That’s fine, though, because I am a much bigger fan of T-Mo than ATT.

Verizon was great, until I had a problem.

Sprint I have never used, but has a lot of promise.

  • http://alxrock.deviantart.com alxrock

    Let’s GO SPRINT!

Yeah, uh huh, you know what it is
Black and yellow, black and yellow
Black and yellow, black and yellow

    (yeah, had to do it)

  • BlkSquad

    Let’s go Sammy!

  • Trinhbo

Samsung is the best Android manufacturer and it’s not even close. They are like the Patriots of Android. They just win year after year and everyone else is just jealous at their success.

  • dja808

Grandfathered into unlimited data means I’ll be rooting for Verizon until I’m a Grandfather myself, and I’ve been injecting HTC Sense into my veins since my OG Incredible.

  • amgala

Unlimited VZW 4G LTE + Samsung Galaxy Nexus = MVP!

  • Zagrash

I’m an old school football fan (go Bears!) and an old school Android fan, go T-Mob & HTC!

  • fletchtb

    Come on Samsung/VZW users

  • frobie

Samsung with the Galaxy Nexus rolls over the competition like the Pats will do to the Giants.

  • BikerBob1789

VZW LTE with unlimited data FTW!

  • davehuze

I have been a happy (unlimited) Verizon customer and my HTC Incredible has been a great device for me and several members of my extended family. I have a couple more months before I can upgrade and I am expecting HTC to step up their game with a next generation device to replace the underwhelming and bulky Rezound.

  • ryancl

    Samsung!

  • flashmc

    Go T-Mobile & HTC (vanilla Android G1 & G2)

  • AChackes

    LG Optimus V on Virgin

My bill is smaller than yours!!

  • oddball

Verizon and Samsung make a great team although I’m excited to see what Motogoogle comes out with once the purchase is finalized

  • http://alxrock.deviantart.com alxrock

I love the build quality of HTC’s phones/tablets. The aluminum unibody design of their newer models is awesome, and their hardware specs have been awesome. Sense has been great these past years, but hopefully they’ll clean up that final build for ICS.

  • wertkelly7

On the OG Droid X….Brady can’t be stopped. Pats for the win. Verizon hands down… Not a contest.

  • http://thomashunsaker.com thunsaker

TMobile G2 is showing its age, but is still a solid phone worthy of its predecessor’s legacy!

  • nmccart

HTC will dominate the pack with the help of Sense and Rosie!

  • STL_Sean

HTC has alway been my favorite. Now they need to keep on top of the innovations to stay out in front of the rest. I was a little sad to see them loose the flagship Android phone.

  • STL_Sean

HTC has alway been my favorite. Now they need to keep on top of the innovations to stay out in front of the rest. I was a little sad to see them loose the flagship Android phone. T-Mobile is great when I am near a city but really unreliable when I am away (which happens 2-3 times a month for the Army).

  • http://a1.blogspot.com EwanRGR

Dell Streak 7 4G on T-Mobile. Man, I had to even select other I’m so far away from the cool kids. Still, $250 for a Tegra-2 7 inch tablet with GPS and 4G running Honeycomb 3.2, and that’s full price. Guess it’s worth being uncool to save some bucks :-)

  • boro09

    T-Mo FTW!!!

  • Techrocket9

    Entered again.

  • theJP

Go Samsung on TBayTel (sort of Rogers)! Anyways I’m on the Samsung team, that seems to be the cool team to be on.

Good to see you guys picking the right kind of teams!

  • whazzup969

I love looking at data like this…

  • McLovin

HTC baby! G1 then and G2 now.

I just had the best experience ever of returning an HTC device for service. It was an HTC Evo View 4G tablet that stopped charging. HTC FedEx’d the shipping box to me, paid shipping, repaired in 1 day, returned to me, all paid by HTC. They repaired the actual device so I got all my stuff back. I can’t say enough about HTC after this experience!

  • _AjD

I have been loving HTC ever since my G1 which is still running with it’s now very voided warranty.
I also <3 my current G2 (running CM)

  • jj14

    HTC/Sprint SERO – can’t beat that!

  • Rising33

So far Im sticking with Tmobile and HTC had a good year and put some nice phones in our hands. Lets not forget competition is good for us all.

  • mark13568

VZW with motorola al the way

I guess that a lot of the Kindle Fire users also have another Android device and list that in the And Me Account ;)

This kind of data is pretty cool!

  • zyphbear

Sounds like all the Galaxy Nexus users need to vote in!

  • Deeds

    T-Mo represent!

  • Cole Loomis

I have been on Verizon as long as I can remember. Up until the Galaxy Nexus, I had four Motorola phones in a row, including the Droid and Droid X. At this point I can’t say i prefer Samsung or Moto over the other.

  • Willy Morgan

AT&T and Samsung – a match made in heaven

  • cheeseonastick

Has to be T-mobile, their new unlimited deal coming out is ridonkulous. And Samsung all the way clearly :P

  • Dustin Carney

ATT+HTC=awesome, i wouldnt have it any other way!

  • http://www.ndroidgamers.com B2L

T-Mobile is definitely the best carrier in my book, they were the first carrier to adopt Android in the beginning.

  • Jmo

You down with att?? Use htc!!

  • Billy

Samsung is rocking it these days!!! The Galaxy series and not 1 but 2 NEXUS devices. There are no others.

VZW is on the forefront of LTE to the masses and with shared data plans on the horizon … who doesn’t love that goodness!!

  • lucasmpinelli

T-Mobile Represent! Galaxy Nexus GSM for days….

  • GirLuvsDroid

I’ve owned the Motorola Droid (OG), a rooted Nook Color, and now a Verizon Galaxy Nexus. Definitely Verizon 4G LTE (with grandfathered unlimited data) and GNex FTW!!

  • http://www.infotainmentempire.com pekosROB

Please send me an Amethyst Gray Prime, it would look great alongside my 64GB champagne! :-)

Would love to replace my Droid3 but dag nab it, I love my keyboard! Even when it kinda sticks!

  • IntlGrizzly

Motorola DROID X on Verizon…Loyal to Verizon, for now at least, not loyal to any manufacturer. Whichever one makes the next Nexus will be mine….Oh and go Giants

  • sunrise

Samsung is going to come out on top, just because so many people are buying their phones right now.

T-Mobile will win as top GSM provider used by people who frequent AndroidAndMe

  • http://www.squide.com squide

    T-Mobile and Samsung…I still have a G2x, but miss my Nexus S

  • Y2Dre

This will be a breeze. All other carriers will run out of data and be forced to leave the game..,leaving Sprint standing alone in the end zone!!!

Team HTC (Hard To Conquer) FTW!!!

  • BiGMERF

Right now Sammy has my loyalty along with Tmo…

  • Rhino3081

    VZW/Sammy for the Win!!!

  • Martin Stitz

my Acer Liquid was pretty great for the money back in 2010, pair it with an o2 internet flat, and you got a semi nexus one for cheap!

  • AsakuraZero

i dont like how sammy is rolling, it have good hardware but really slow in updates.

    Da Beast!!! :)

  • malejko

No love for Fido in Canada.. The only one who had the Xperia Pro that I wanted!

Good phone.. for the price. Even if it’s not a high end one, it’s got a good keyboard for me!

  • Tyler Tyvand

I’m not on at&t by choice, though they have done surprisingly well.

  • lxgeorge

Lets go! I didn’t win anything during the 25 days of Tegra so I’m overdue for a prize!

  • LaserPewPewDroid

I’m on Tmobile very affordable and fast and with Samsung things can’t go wrong. Actually the GPS did go wrong on Vibrant, buy I am over that and GS2 is great!!!

GS2 is the phone which got the rumor right when iphone4s came out. Rumor was that GS2 was still going to be better and it is!!!!

I’m excited what they will bring to the table in 2012 and this time I really wish for simultaneous global launch!!!

    Go Tmob and Sammy!!

  • slimx30

    tmobile all the way!

  • Devlin Seymour

Well now I feel stupid. I said go Patriots. I guess I should have said, GOOOOOOOOOOOO SAMSUNG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thomas MacDougall

I doubt my carrier has many “points”, good old bell mobility from canada

  • Sucalakafufu

    yah T-Mobile! lol

  • http://genesischess.com/ MJM128

T-Mobile oh yeah! We just traded some spectrum for having to discuss a deal with the devil (at&t). Our team accepts all types of manufactures. :) Right now i’m rocking an lg g2x…he needs to be benched, but I’m looking forward to the galaxy s3

  • reddragonman

Asus is my underdog pick, and hoping they’ll get a phone out on sprint. Currently using samsung, which would be my second pick, but slow updates are the reason for that.

  • NamelessTed

From a hardware perspective, ASUS is king in my mind. It might be because I have been using their products for years (motherboard, GPUs). It might also be that I have always had a great experience with their customer support, they replaced a broken GPU twice, completely free, and even upgraded the card. I really enjoy my Transformer and my brother is liking his Prime. I am really excited to see the progress on the Padfone and am already saving up money to get one now that I am done with school and have a job.

    tl;dr: ASUS FTW

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002275344855 luis maldonado

T-Mobile is the underdog in this game! And that underdog is coming for the title! We may not have as many championship titles but T-Mobile has the most dedicated fans! And HTC!? Is like a great team that needs a better coaching to set itself apart from the pack and regain the android OEM title!!

  • DroidPower

Samsung has a range of awesome phones, from lower to higher end. Paired with T-mo’s 4g monthly plans, you just can’t go wrong in an economy like this!

  • zeepzorp

Nexus One is still a solid contender.

    • zeepzorp

      oh HTC, whut what!

  • GRAW

Grandfathered 3G/4G with Verizon and the Galaxy Nexus, nothing gets better!

  • robertlwalters

Verizon and Sammy all the way!

  • moelsen8

is nexus a brand!? F it! go nexus! :)

  • http://www.focuszonedevelopment.com Homncruse

You will not convince me anyone knows hardware better than Asus.

  • PittGorilla

Verizon with the Samsung Galaxy Nexus unlimited data plan. Was rocking the original Motorola Droid, but I am very happy I held out until the Galaxy Nexus.

  • themanwithsauce

Jumped ship from motorola to samung and couldn;t be happier. Typical OG droid – SGN on the unlimited VZW data user here. 4G is awesome (when it works)

  • Ruben Alvarez

You know , T-Mobile has always done right by me. The coverage is not great, but they have always treated me well as a customer. I rooted my G1 using the T-Mobile forums. They called root users, advanced users. They would not replace or repair your rooted phones but they would give you some help on the forums to try to fix it.
HTC is by far my favorite hardware. They make solid devices. The difference between my G2 and a Vibrant was night and day. Samsung was plasticy, cheap feeling, and worst of all iPhoney. The G2 was very sturdy, felt substantial in my hand, and overall was just better hardware. I can live without Sense, or any other UI placed on top of Android. But Sense is arguably the best of all the UIs when you consider all the widgets and services that come with Sense. Again I dislike the UIs but it is easily fixed with a quick root and flash so I thinke software should not be a factor in picking best phone maker.
There is my 2 cents. Unfortunately, given the current state of the economy, it’s only worth a penny.

  • aholland1

Go Big Red! Samsung has also won my heart with Nexus, for this contract at least!

  • aj34

Go samsung! I like them just because of the galaxy nexus. Otherwise HTC is pretty cool too.

  • sdtrinity3

Samsung T-mobile! The best team of power and freedom!

  • Daniel Brierton

Since there’s no Irish carriers listed, I might as well say it here – Meteor.
They were the first to launch an Android phone in Ireland, and continued to be most faithful to Android. However they eventually caved and got the iPhone around half a year ago.

  • Schmidty850

Man AT&T and HTC are a one two punch that will rock y’all’s world. Definately wouldn’t mind adding ASUS to my favorited list

  • mlouie23

Samsung has great phones out there…especially the Galaxy Nexus and my Verizon 4gLTE is amazing! I’d love to see the Transformer Prime tethered to my Nexus =)

  • Kronofile

I feel better knowing I got it right the first time….

  • Dan13

I’m gonna have to go with the gsm Galaxy Nexus on T-Mobile. I’d rather have unlimited data than speeds that would exceed a data cap in seconds. Go team!

  • Tico4674

Loving Tmo’s 42 hspa+ and Samsung GS2 at the moment. Oh yeah, and Go Giants!

  • greeny42

Football! Grunt! Yeah, that went over my head… Verizon and Gnex! Dare I say sexy?

  • KRS_Won

Motorola has the most rings! We’re coming back hard for the win! Verizon unlimited 4G dominates everything.

  • roosterk506

Samsung’ed straight down the Verizon football field for a touchdown!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And the largest Carrier of fans roars with excitement for Sammy!!!

The competition wonders if they were seeing things when they noticed the letters LTE drifting in the dust as Sammy blew by.

  • goresd3

I still like T-mobile 4G!!!! with Samsung phone but in tablet I love Transformer Prime. I did win a Kindle Fire last month and it would be great to win this one this month so I can give the Kindle Fire to my wife and keep this for myself

Verizon Motorola Droid Bionic here… Hoping to soon say Asus!!

    GO Samsung!!!!

  • psipher

I like the Verizon and Motorola combo.

  • Jorge Eslava

My original Transformer is great but a Prime would be even better!

  • Baller

holding out for HTC ville on Tmobile before finally hanging my n1 off to my wife.

  • spintrex

I’m vouching for Sprint as a more than full time college student with a less than part time job…. best scenario when getting my Samsung GS II fix!

  • docsparks

tmobile with the samsung alliance cant be beat!

    • docsparks

The Galaxy S2 That is, no Nexlesses.

  • serivolk

Good going T-Mobile, I wonder what their next G device will be. I choose Samsung as my favorite manufacturer even though I have never owned one of their devices. They are the only ones who have really pushed the technology in their phones forward in recent memory. Everyone else hasn’t been very inspiring. I hope there is a GSIII with T-Mobile bands in the future.

    • ghost114

Samsung… even Google sees that and T-Mobile… awaiting the SGSIII

  • http://youtube.com/user/jawckamoe Marcus

I have AT&T but I love T-Mobile! Haha. And Samsung is my favorite manufacturer because they made two Nexus devices. I like HTC too though… I’m not helping my teams at all… XD

  • NegativeOne13

VZW and Samsung where it’s at…. GET SOME!!

I love HTC build quality and I’m waiting for their next super-phone on Tmo. But for now I’m rocking the Sammy SGS2.

  • Anthony Massingham

    OptusSamsung all the way.

Though I started with a HTC and Vodafone.

To be honest though, my awesome outright-bought Nexus One was the best.

  • Jttallman

Verizon + Samsung = the best combination of the service and innovation.

  • cwjones4

I can’t wait to see how the rest of this year turns out for smartphones and tablets. already there are some awesome devices rumored to be unveiled next month, can’t wait!

I’m currently rocking the HTC hero with cyanogenmod 7.1 on sprint, patiently waiting for the next round of superphones to release before I upgrade. right now the rumored galaxy nexus plus looks enticing, but i may be tempted to try and hold out for a bit longer and pick up the SGS3 (we’ll see how much longer my phone holds out)

  • Isaac Lanado

    lets go patriots!!!!

  • Danny Conner

My Motorola Droid X on Verizon is a dream team! They seldom let me down.

  • ranwanimator

I’ve always been impressed with Samsung’s devices. Mostly for screens.

  • bdub

Verizon is the carrier that gives me solid service in rural areas. And Samsung is my manufacturer of choice for phones besides my moto droid. They’ve always just worked well, including the old multimedia feature phones. Great stuff. Asus has my vote for tabs thus far tho.

  • Chris Lewis

    DX2 running miui on VZW

Sprint has best prices and soon best LTE!

Ha ha! I needs a prime! Please!!

  • rashad360

The top scorers know what’s up, T-mo all the way!

  • dpleus

Rolling strong on VZW!!! I’m rocking a Droid X right now, my first Android phone. Looking forward to this fall when I am up for a new phone, and I will see who has the best Quad-core phone with the least obtrusive skinned version of Android 4.1 Apple Pie (or will it jump to 5.0?). I must say that I used to go for Samsung, loved me M610 and my BJII, but in light of recent support issues with my OG Tab 7.0, I’m not sure if I could go back to them. And so far Motorola hasn’t done me wrong.

  • Wilson Lara

Samsung on Simple Mobile. Best Ever!

  • myndmayze

VZW with unlimited data is a win! Also love the samsung gnex!! LETS GO GIANTS!!

  • cootang2

No one can beat T-Mobile’s $30 monthly plan for unlimited data/text and 100min voice!…

  • Shawn Flanagan

I have no carrier preference. Just give me the awesome Samsung devices I want on the cheapest carrier!

  • https://profiles.google.com/jefmes jefmes

AT&T can suck it! Dropped them to go back to Big Red and the Galaxy Nexus. I’m my heart I’m still a Motorola fan – after the G1 I went Droid, Droid X, then Atrix – but the Galaxy Nexus is what Android has been trying to be!

  • maxx ondo

Does anyone else HATE the Patriots?

  • Craig LeBaron

I’ve been on VZW forever, and plan to keep it that way. like so many on here, I rocked an OG, then upgraded to a G’Nex. I’m really loving this one!

  • RBI411

On Verizon for now. Costs are meh. Member of team Samsung because they have the most Nexus devices.

  • mlynch01

HTC unlimited loyalty plan on T-Mobile. At&t is horrible.

  • Zak Lambert

No one can argue against Samsung for build quality. And T-mobiles prices are unbeatable.

  • http://www.brokemanstech.com Juan Almanzar

I’m still cheering for Verizon and the Galaxy Nexus. The main reason is purely the phone and my anger towards Sprint (who I had for over 3 years). When I finally had my chance to leave Sprint I could have gone with any of the other three carriers but Verizon won me over simply with the Galaxy Nexus. It’s a shame they do not advertise this phone more because it is truly amazing and I am loving everything that it and ICS have to offer.

Also here is my post for today. I would love to win this tablet. All I have right now is a Touchpad and I’ve been tinkering with it simply to try and get it to run Android as WebOS is pretty much dead.

  • mightykwin

HTC and Verizon can’t be beat!

  • xfernand

I’m waiting for the Lumia 900 at AT&T

  • cavell219

Samsung and T-Mobile with an unlocked Galaxy nexus going for gold.

  • http://www.briantluong.com nautec

Motorola Droid phones used to be the king on Verizon but I think Samsung has come from behind and intercepted the Android rock on Vzw

  • thegross1

I love locked down phones found only on the Verizon network

  • mfndoom

4th and goal T-mobile down by 5 with 3 seconds on the clock. The crowd is going crazy…the pressure is on! Andy brings the team up to the line, looks to his left sees htc with one on one coverage, looks to his right..lg is double teamed. The play clock is winding down and he calls an audible…hut one hut two hike! Andy takes the snap and hands the ball off to SAMSUNG who leaps up..up..up and over Verizons defensive line! TOUCHDOWN!! T-mobile wins the game with the ability and heroics of SAMSUNG. “Sammy! You’ve just won the Android Bowl, what are you going to do? I’m going to Disneyland where T-mobile is now the official carrier for all things Disney!*”

*This may or may not be true, but Sammy was on a massive adrenalin high.

  • Palaver02

I love Motorola hardware, but Samsung Looks, and HTC unlock-able status… Make one to rule them all. And you will have some very satisfied customers.

  • zim333311

    Samsung and Verizon FTW!

  • mjforte

Unlimited 4G, and awesome developer support for my Samsung Galaxy Nexus are the way to go!

  • tnolte

I’ve had terrible experiences with Samsung, and I don’t much like the HTC Sense UI…I’d go with Motorola.

My teams are Verizon and Samsung.

My Evo is a machine. HTC is solid all around.

    HTC ON SPRINT.

Still rockin’ and lovin’ my (now) old school hero! and of course i can’t complain about unlimited data on sprint either!

and since i can’t stand the patriots i guess i will pick the giants.

  • Oscar Ortega

I’m guessing T-Mo and Sammy for this one. And Pats oer Giants on Sunday.

  • Johnathan Prochaska

Rooting for Samsung this time. I have AT&T but I don’t really feel like rooting for them.

  • staryoshi

Sprint is where it’s at, if only for the unlimited data. It’s the principle of the data plan… I won’t pay a carrier that limits my data usage. Plus the epic 4g touch was my favorite phone available, even after the gnexus launched.

  • Chris Edwards

I’ve always been an HTC fan but Samsung has come on strong and my desire for a Galaxy Nexus to go with my Galaxy Tab is strong

  • audioxtc85

Verizon with Samsung devices = The only right answer!

Samsung is my first Android phone, but I do have a soft spot in my heart for HTC, since before Android, I had an HTC TyTn (Windows Mobile, *shudder*, but the hardware was good).

Sammy T-Mo is the way to go

  • Mesgalis

    htc 4 the win

  • Kainoah Arnold

Love Tmobile, HTC, and ASUS, I’ve been on Tmobile for 5 years now, my most recent phones have been the HTC G1 and MyTouch 4G, and I’m about to use my upgrade to get the latest and greatest HTC phone of course, and I have ALWAYS loved the transformer tablets, best tablets ever in my opinion and I WILL be getting a Transformer Prime whether it be from this contest or not.

  • booyootoo

Htc used to be my favourite brand, but since the galaxy s2 its Samsung.

Now they have the nexus and can’t wait for the s3. Not waiting for any htc device at the moment…

  • VIPete

Im taking my DROID RAZR MAXX and slicing the competition with a SMART ACTION playbook and 21 hours of playtime long enough to leave the competition behind in the dust by halftime! Bring it baby this game is mine!

  • archangel52005

All about HTC. Solid built phones. Great support and they always seem to be out to help developers and work WITH THEM not Against! Not a huge fan of Sense but any Android fan knows there are ways around that. Unlocked boot-loaders and development support for all!

  • teecruz

Like I said.. my allegiance is Samsung and T-Mobile, though I may be Verizon soon.
I confronted T-Mobile for their lack of android updates and a boring phone selection..
they said they’re working on getting the Nexus. I’m pretty sure they’ll announce the first week or two of February. Perhaps, at MWC.

I honestly don’t care.. I’ve been loyal for so long. they’re on a path to nowhere..
Not sure I’m patient enough to wait for their meeting with DT next month.

I just want Face Unlock + LTE .. something Verizon can give me.

  • cxandroid

Gotta be Samsung, they have upped their game so much the last year or so.

  • bd1212

Once again, the patriots will win and Samsung is the best smartphone manufacturer, withHTC not to far behind. I love android bowl haha

  • John Jnflores

  • No_Smoking

    Moto and Verizon! booya!

  • danco

Asus is definitely my favorite manufacturer. They’ve had really timely updates for the OG Transformer. I can’t wait to get the ICS update.

  • emic

the pats will continue their dynasty with Brady and Belichick just like Android will continue its dynasty with Sammy and Verizon!

  • zippyioa

HTC had a a tough 2011 with Samsung dominating the Android phone and tablet market, but after their brilliance in 2010 I’m sure HTC will make a comeback this year :)

  • Vyrlokar

I support Team Asus, as they’re the ones that come with th most innovative ideas on the Android league (Transformer, Slider, Padphone). I can’t post on the carrier league, as I belong to a minoritary conference, in Spain. I however think that the marketing muscle of the Samsung team will make them the winners in their league.

  • andrpau

Good thing I didn’t buy the transformer yet. With you guys being so generous and all.

  • Marcofromda510

Cant beat T-Mobile’s customer service. HTC will always be my favorite.

  • FaSSt2001

    Go T-Mobile and Samsung!!!

  • http://www.lament.us lament

Been married to Verizon for 12 years (only cheated once with Cingular back in the day for 6 days – worst 6 days ever).

Been a Motorola fan since the original Razr and the original Droid is a classic, but the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will carry me for a couplw years.

  • Christian Meyer

Go Google! Oh, wait, they will win anyway…

  • http://mihai.discuta-liber.com/ tmihai20

My first love was HTC (HD2 FTW), but the only reason I own an Evo 3D now is fact that I found one at half the normal price (maybe those online Romanian stores wanted to sell whatever they had to make room for the new HTCs). I go with Orange (in Romania) and Samsung. I still believe that at this moment Samsung is the best Android manufacturer. I hope HTC will make a comeback, they have the resources for this (both financially and technologically), they just don’t seem to know how to do it. We need at least 2 strong Android manufacturers.

  • the_rog

    Verizon and the PATS!!!!!

  • SigInTheHead

    FTW

  • dwilson6

Yay for Prime giveaways, now if only I could won one.

  • Marcin Juszkiewicz

    Samsung, Samsung, Samsung!

    :D

While I fell in Love with HTC with my Nexus One, I after Samsung created 2 Nexus devices, I must say I’m totally Samsunged now !

  • Steve Nutt

Currently rooting for Sammy and Vodafone. But I’m watching those Sony releases, so give it a few months and well see.

  • jeffb34

Samsung Galaxy Nexus GSM and T-Mobile! Go team!

  • mdawg924

I can’t wait to get my hands on the Galaxy Nexus Sprint style. Hopefully they’re LTE network is built to impress. Love my unlimited data.

  • http://sportmate.mobi varref

Still rolling with my N1….Solid, reliable, and free. Does me till the quad core phones become real!!

  • impulse101

Verizon Samsung galaxy nexus…ok whet is my prime!!

  • jian9007

Come on T-Mobile and HTC phones! Hopefully at MWC there will be some sweet quad-core phones coming down the pipe for T-Mo and they’re made by HTC. An HTC phone with an HD screen, quad-core, big battery, ICS, and oodles of internal storage with 42Mbps speeds sounds extra tasty to me.

  • faun

You have to comment to enter? You may have left out that minor detail in the first post…

  • Michael Haller

I’ve tried all major brand android manufacturers and HTC is hands down the best! They can’t operate effectively if not on verizon’s lte network.

  • PaulPaulson

T-Mobile and Samsung are the best combo.

Honestly, I’m not loyal to a company. I’m loyal to quality and performance. Sometimes one company has it, sometimes another does.

  • ndub21

Samsung on AT&T! Samsung is the Android giant and I proudly support them. The Galaxy Nexus is unbeatable!

  • http://midweststitch.com ajonrichards

I’ve got much love for Verizon and HTC, but Samsung. Get has been capturing my hy heart lately.

  • mmitchum

Though Sprint has been a little slow to get on the LTE bus, I’m gonna stick it out with them. To me, it comes down to saving money and not having to worry about how much data i’m using. Any mobile, any time is the shiznit – meaning i can subscribe to a plan w/ 450 anytime minutes and not worry about overages.

As for a manufacturer, I’ve had an HTC phone every since I came to Android and i’m pretty much sold on Sense. I also love the kick stand on my EVO 4G. I just hope sprint gets a new HTC phone before i’m ready to upgrade. HTC for me.

  • delinear

Seems to be a LOT of love for Samsung at the moment so I think I picked the right team! Back on Orange after a little break (though to be honest all the networks seem to have the same list of good and bad points so I’m much more willing to switch -that- team if it gets me a better deal!)

    • Tom Murphy

      Count me in please.

  • levigarret

Cant beat sprints pricing! Used to really admire HTC hardware, but they have grown stale in my opinion. Samsung has me impressed now-a-days. If we could only get the solidness/heft of an HTC device in a samsungish package . . .
