It still has to be shadowgun!

    • professandobey

Agreed. ShadowGun did so much right.

      • Jorge Eslava

ShadowGun is also my favorite shooter game but I don’t think its considered a first person shooter since the concept of first person would be to see what the character sees. Regardless, my choice is Shadowgun.

    • meddem

      Shadowgun of course!

  • alee

My favorite? The classic Duke Nukem 3D.

  • Demi Adejuyigbe

    Shadowgun, for sure.

    • NamelessTed

      I found you.

  • Ahmad Abdel-Aziz

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is my best

  • Pallen

I am afraid that the only Android game I have ever played is Angry Birds and that was just to check it out because its so popular. I am just not a game player.

    • rpras

Ditto. But this prize may convince me to try a real shooting game.

  • lxgeorge

    N.O.V.A. 2

  • diverbelow

Duke Nukem 3D since it was Duke Nukem 20 year anniversary.

  • Zagrash

minor quibble – Shadowgun is a 3rd person shooter =) awesome game though!

  • Techrocket9

Modern Combat 3 would be interesting if it worked on ICS phones…

  • KittenMittens

Modern Combat 3 wins by default because it’s the only one I’ve played, lol.

  • komeilkarimi

    definitely Modern Combat 3

  • justtony

    Duke Nukem 3D!

  • azd.apc

  • Akash Doshi

Modern Combat 3. I just love it!

  • Alberto

I like Shadow Gun! Plays smooth and the graphics looks awesome!

  • Mix

Modern Combat 3 because it seems to be popular and besides Angry Birds I have not played an FPS on an Android device seeing as how I do not own one……………yet.

  • luioo7

I find it hilarious how everyone is saying Shadowgun, because it’s a third-person shooter, not an FPS. The best looking FPS right now would have to be Nova 2.

  • YMS123

Without a doubt, Modern Combat 3, a full campaign and a competitive multiplayer mode

  • slyder0244

Shadowgun of course, is there any doubt.

  • dylantep

Heavy gunner!!! havn’t played too many fps’s on android though

  • Qrkchrm

    Dead Space

  • Glenbot3000

  • Krynn

    shadowgun ftw.

  • renz0rr

best fps is easily nova 2

  • Palaver02

Shadowgun, But I need a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard so bad!

  • smisa27

shadowgun was a good game that i loved playing =)

  • ralphwiggum1

Modern Combat 3. And it only cost me $0.99! (but it could have cost me $0.49 if I missed the $0.99 or waited a bit longer).

    Also, isn’t Shadowgun a 3rd-person shooter?

  • mjolnir

I haven’t played any FPS games on Android. At least now I have some recommendations!

  • bhake

    Modern Combat 3 ftw!

  • victormg94

    Rainbow Six Shadow Vanguard ftw!!

  • ckaria

    Definitely shadow Gun for me!!!!!!!

  • cesjr02

  • NamelessTed

To everybody that has replied saying Shadowgun is the best “first-person shooter”, I think you need to figure out what “first-person” means.

Also, there aren’t any good FPS games on Android so I think I forfeit my entry into this contest.

  • Alec Waddelow

    Modern Combat 3

  • Oskar Wismierski

Shadowgun or Modern Combat 3.. hmm hard to decide.. but Ill go with Shadowgun just because it looks better to me :P

  • Chris Lewis

    Shadowgun hands down

  • Yonas

I don’t know if this is Legit, but i’m gonna have to say Yoshi’s Safari on the Snes emulator. BAMF game.

  • Pat

Shadowgun by FAR….play it all the time!!

  • Blinder

Modern Combat 3 is the best!

  • aerohoff

    shadowgun is my current favorite.

  • Mark Beaty

ShadowGun has been the best FPS I’ve played on Android to date!

  • spiritualbully

  • Schmidty850

I would have to say shadowgun would be favorite. I first got it from recommendation from here, but I have since recommended it to all my friends and they like it just as much as I do. I love the graphics and the gameplay is top notch.

  • oxnard montalvo

    Modern combat 3 for sure.

  • droiddewd

Only FPS I’ve had any time playing on Android is N.O.V.A which was pretty good.

  • droiddewd

Only FPS I’ve had any time playing on Android is NOVA.

  • droiddewd

sorry for the duplicate comment :oD

  • MetalWych

I would have to go with Modern Combat 3 or NOVA 2. There are tons of great (better) 3rd person games too…

  • Tatoniss

  • humidity

Modern Combat 3 is my favorite!

  • champlification

  • Alex Morgan

    Shadowgun LOL

  • mac08wrx

I don’t have a fav but if I had to pick maybe nova

  • Hue Three of Five

    Shadowgun is a clear winner!

  • ZzX44

Shadowgun I suppose but I need more time to play it and probably a bigger screen =D

  • J.M.C

    N.O.V.A 2
    I like most of all….

  • skugern

    Shadowgun obviously!

  • Greegoor

I would have to go with N.O.V.A. Kind of reminded me of Halo, but didn’t quite reach the quality. Still a lot of fun for a mobile FPS.

  • bagarwa

Shadowgun is my favorite FPS on android. The graphics, the gameplay – everything is just superb.

  • MarlowXIm

For gameplay I’d have to pick Sprinkle THD. It was simplistic yet fun. The game really showcases unique gameplay with alot of water physics which shows the strength of tegra 2. It was really fun when I got to try it out on a tegra2 tablett. As for graphics but really took advantage of Tetras unique features such as physx

  • Matt H

    MC3 is pretty sweet…along with shadowgun…and mass effect…err i vote present.

  • jamal adam

I still have to go with Shadowgun

  • reliog

    Shadowgun is still the best

  • AvatarZ

  • halo0

  • psipher

  • javert78

Well…if I have to choose, Shadowgun. Nom, nom ASUS Transformer Pad pleeeeze.

  • cheeseasaurus

I have to agree with so many others, Shadowgun did it for me. I’ve played so many… but the only one I re-play is Shadowgun.

  • seven2k

NOVA 2 really good game with lots of weapons

  • jtownspowell

NOVA 2 takes the cake for me, judging purely on the fact that it seems to be responsible for more of my missed commitments than any of the alternatives.

  • David

    Gotta go with NOVA 2.

  • levelm

    Modern Combat 3 for me.

  • boro09

    Duke Nukem 3D

  • dark_funk

Gotta be Modern Combat 3. Shadowgun might pass it, though – just bought it today since it’s on sale.

  • spintrex

Haven’t played many FPS but N.O.V.A. was a pretty fun game, it was the first game I played on my GS II as a demo.

  • ndub21

I have to say that the best I have played is Shadowgun. It’s a sweet game that’s the closest I have seen to a console quality game on Android. I’m very excited to see what the future holds for Android gaming.

  • vaclon

Mass Effect Infiltration is shaping up to be awesome.

  • wildkarrde21

Shadowgun shows how a FPS can be done right on Android (despite its crappy voice acting and silly plot).

  • dandroid4g

  • Kevinthebox

    I really enjoyed N.O.V.A!! My fav :)

  • Troy Hayes

Shadow gun for sure is awesome!

  • dkpearland

    I really like Shadowgun!!

  • Zach

    Shadowgun without a doubt.

  • lapak_zapak

    I vote for ShadowGun

  • Shawn Clark

I think Six Guns was cool

  • nivekkev

Wow, this is a hard one, I have MC3, Shadowgun N.O.V.A. 2 and Dead Space, I like things about all of them but I have gotten the furthest with Shadowgun so for now that one would have to be my favorite but that could change any day though, cause I am really digging Dead Space and especially N.O.V.A 2

  • alexanderharri3

Shadowgun…seems it is quite the popular choice

  • KRS_Won

    Dead Space.

  • Samar

    Till Date,. its SHADOWGUN

  • mlouie23

Shadowgun!!! Do I have a shot of winning!?! ;-)

    • Tony Torres

no because thats a third person game, there asking for “first person shooters”

  • Alex Pitts

Shadowgun, hands down. I was prepared to hate shooters on my phone just like every other mobile device I’ve used – then I played Shadowgun.

  • Crickerman

Modern Combat 2 because of the fast paced multiplayer. The only bad thing that ruined it were the cheaters. Modern Combat 3 had much better graphics but the gameplay was more fun in 2 in my opinion.

  • chambo622

    Shadowgun, it’s popular for a reason I guess! :D

  • nodanero

I go for Modern Combat 3. Quite good.

  • Brandon Thomas

    Shadow Gun without a doubt!

  • sic4672

Shadowgun!!! Who doesn’t love Bruce Willis???

  • StevRodriguez

My favorite game would have to be Modern Combat 3 because it incorporates Battlefield 3 graphics with a Call of Duty-like feel.

  • WlfHart

    I’d say N.O.V.A. 2, though I haven’t played Shadowgun yet…

  • badbullshah

    SHADOWGUN Definitely

  • xfaith

  • Rockstar323

N.O.V.A. is definitely my favorite. I need to pick up N.O.V.A. 2

  • sargas

  • SuperAndroid

    ShadowGun, top class FPS game.

  • Matt773

Just downloaded ShadowGun yesterday so I can’t rate it yet. In the interim, it’d have to be Modern Combat 2.

  • zyphbear

ShadowGun! It’s a great game made from a smaller company!

  • virexed

Not a FPS but I’m digging Mass Effect Infiltrator.

  • Zeyger

    Definitely Shadowgun.

I have to say Modern Combat. In an age where console games are expensive, it’s a nice to see top quality games available on the mobile platform at TERRIFIC price!

  • mikedaub

  • Healthy

  • myvoiceinthewind

I’ve only used Android tablets at work, so I’m looking forward to winning so I can try some games!

  • djsamix

I didn’t plyed a lot of First person shooter, but the one that I prefer is definetly N.O.V.A. 2

    N.O.V.A. 2

  • triangle

Modern Combat 3. I have only played Modern Warfare (original) and this has a lot of similarities. Shawdowgun is cool, but not as much my type of game.

Modern Combat 3 is my pick.

  • Laurentiu V.

I’ve never really got into FPS (on my phone or anywhere else), but Modern Combat 3 is alright I guess. I might get into them a bit more if I had a new tablet to try them out on… ;)

  • KittyKittyBangBang

    Lets be real, ShadowGun!! DUHHH!

  • Slith

    Shadowgun. No contest.

  • aj34

    shadowgun is my fav

  • tnnm

shadowgun gives me the same feeling I felt years ago playing Castle Wolfenstein and Doom – an instant classic

  • techvudu

Shadowgun, Shocker I know. But possibilities with a Tegra 3 and Spashtop could change that. Proof that we need more good games on Android. I’m in.

  • Jason Toering

I’ve never played one, but I’d still like to win the tablet. If I do I swear I will try one though!

  • spyrog921

    Shadowgun is awesome!

  • Sgg1784

    Duke Nukem

  • sccomm036

    N.O.V.A. 2 HD sci-fi rules.

  • SomeAudioGuy

While Shadowgun is a fun shooter, it’s not an FPS. I’m pretty boring when it comes to tablet FPS. I’m happy with Doom.

  • acostaisasmendi

My favorite android FPS is definitely “Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus”. I just love it :D

If I win I’ll be the. happiest. person. ever. (Who wouldn’t? Lol).
I got robbed last week so I don’t have my HTC Inspire 4g anymore and I don’t have much money to buy another phone so …

  • marilyn70

  • christiaangombert

sad dutch people are not included in this giveaway. but anyway, my favorite android shooter in angry bob.

  • William Burnham

Shadowgun is pretty fun but its not exactly 1st person.

  • golgavatar

Contract Killer: Zombies! I guess it could be Deadspace, if it wouldn’t always crash right after the loading screen on my Nexus S.

  • Lowxcs

I really like Gunman Clive, I think it’s the cutest ever, I like its soft use of colors and its not too pretentious feel to it.

  • Krylez

N.O.V.A. I guess, but the pickings are fairly slim.

B.T.W. folks, you know that guy you control in Shadowgun? Well that imaginary dude experiences everything in the first person. You, as a player looking over his shoulder, are experiencing things in the third person. If you saw everything through his eyes, it would be an F.P.S., but you don’t so it’s not. It’s a third person shooter.

  • arashnabili

I’ll have to go with Shadowgun as well.

  • aykutb

Haven’t had the chance to play Dead Space yet but Shadowgun is a go

  • mightynaf

ShadowGun is awesome. Awesome enough for me to win this.

  • eldenW

    ShadowGun is my fave

  • Morti

I’m voting N.O.V.A. 2, first game I used to see you what my phone can do and good fun too.

  • oozer27

    gotta be N.O.V.A. 2

  • Todd Bruner

    NOVA 2.

  • fecat17

    N.O.V.A. 2

  • gtrosss

    SHADOWGUN = ultimate

  • electronicrice

NOVA 2 is my favorite FPS on Android

  • sherichander

Shadowgun … Its just reminds me or my old Quake days!!!

  • NathanRandom

I’m going to be the typical jackass who goes for Goldeneye using N64Droid! Plays like hell on my HP Touchpad, but I can’t quit that game (and Ocarina of Time ofc) even if its like holding a briefcase instead of a modern piece of technology. Maybe a better tablet would help me out? Guys? Please? I’m not above pleading.

But seriously, I really do enjoy Modern Combat 3, like a lot of people seem to! As shameless as it it for cribbing from its richer, more popular cousin, it’s definitely a game that aims for console quality rather than playing it safe. I love my inventive, Indie games, but as FPS’s go, MC3 is a shining example of what can be done with today’s hardware couple with Androids awesome software. Just need to get a hold of it running on a Tegra device!

  • Jesse Moreno

Gotta be Quake. First and only FPS I ever bought. I decided after I finished it that FPSs weren’t really for me but man was God Mode not the funnest??

  • humanios

  • NegaNexus

    N.O.V.A. 2

  • Infrontofthetimes

Was skeptical of fps on mobile but Shadowgun surprised me.

  • pudgypanda3

  • awundrin

Modern Combat 2 Black Pegasus… Awesome Game! Very Addicting! It has a wide range of weapons and is a quality shoot em’ up game!

  • thechad

  • johnb

I love ShadowGUN!! still my fav.. probably would be modern combat 3 if it would force stop all the time!!

  • Adam Jones

I don’t know about you but i consider it s shooter game: Grand Theft Auto III. Da Bomb! (No pun intended).

  • sgumer

i think shadowgun is the best first person shooter.

  • twhaley

All three for Call of Duty!!! Such an amazing game!

  • BiafraRepublic

I life Galaxy on Fire 2 THD, myself.

  • ASUDave

    Probably have to be NOVA

  • dVyper

Nova was the first I played. Twas adequate i guess…

  • EgotisticalElf

Only played NOVA2 for a while, doesn’t run well on my aging SGS1.

  • coggy9

    Shadowgun….if that counts. If not… NOVA 2.

  • traveler95

I have to say Shadowgun is definitely my favorite. I never thought we’d be able to play something so good on a mobile device! Even harder to believe things are just getting better…

  • Robert Rollings

Unfortunately for me, I don’t have a device worth playing a first person shooter on. I only have my G2, and the last time I tried to play one it was glitchy. Of course, that could be because I’m running an ICS ROM on it. ;)

  • Steve Heinrich

I know it’s a little silly but I had fun playing Toon Warz.

  • plasmoidia

Hmm, I don’t think I’ve actually played an FPS on Android… but N.O.V.A. looks pretty cool.

  • dukenilnil

To hard to pick between NOVA and Shadowgun. Now, a NOVA versus Shadowgun game? That’d be epic

  • Osby Bigos78

Haven’t played many FPS games, but I like N.O.V.A 2

  • Karbide
