Verizon schedules DROID DNA unboxing hangout on Google+

In less than 48 hours, the HTC DROID DNA will be unveiled at a press event in New York City. Since events like these are reserved for members of the press, Verizon has decided to invite its Google+ followers to an exclusive unboxing of the HTC DNA on November 19th. Its not unusual for OEMs to feature live streams of their press events, but this is the first time we’re heard of a service provider offering a live handset unboxing. The HTC DROID DNA will most likely be a Verizon exclusive in the U.S. market, but Verizon’s announcement today gives us hope that the device will be accompanied by an aggressive marketing campaign once it goes on sale.

Experience the newest DROID before its public launch. Add Verizon Wireless to a circle on Google+ for an exclusive invite to our Hangout on Air Unboxing Event. Monday, November 19th at 12pm EST/9am PST.Verizon

How many of you will be tuning in to Verizon’s DROID DNA unboxing on November 19th?

I’m definitely stoked for this phone. HTC makes great hardware. I just hope the bootloader can be unlocked. HTC sense is ok but I want aosp

  • Tom

Def getting this if its $199… yay!

    • Nate B.

$199 would be a heck of a nice price for this phone, but this is Verizon we are talking about. expect $250-299 in my opinion.

  • Richard Yarrell

My Samsung Galaxy Note 2 on Tmobile stomps this silly.

    • Max.Steel

Great. Now douchebags like you will make us T-Mobile users look bad with your ignorant comments. Should have stayed on your lame sprint.

      • Nate B.

Hey, hey! Sprint isn’t lame, but I have to agree with not liking his comments either.

      • Richard Yarrell

O brother another androidandme asshole go piss on yourself.

        • squiddy20

You continually call us all on Android and Me “assholes”, “bums”, and “bumbling clowns”, and even went so far as to say “androidandme can fuck off”. So why do you still comment here, retard? Surely if you hate us and the website soooo much, you’d leave. Sad that you don’t get the message that you’re not welcome here. I thought that would’ve been apparent from your (long, long, long) history of negatively rated comments and other people telling you how wrong/stupid you are.
But then again, I guess if it takes you being banned from Phandroid 4 separate times and you still don’t know/understand why, you’re probably not the the brightest of any bunch.

Let me ask: do you have your TVs at home with 1280×720 resolution?

If the answer is Yes you are a dumbo because such TV screens are unacceptably grainy.
If the answer is No you are a dumbo too because your GNote2 has the same angular dimensions as your TV.

    • trob6969

      Lol! Really?! How?

      • Steam

Don’t waste your time. Richard has never, ever, answered a question posed to him. He will either say something completely irrelevant, or resort to insults that a mentally-challenged 5-year-old wouldn’t use because they’re too stupid.
In the review that AaM ghost-wrote for him, a reader by the name of “jrdulog” asked him, “Question: Haven’t updated to OTA because I wanted to keep it root-compatible per se, but now with HTC publicly stating it was going to have an unlocked bootloader update, is it safe for me to update so I can check out HTC Watch? Thanks!”
The retard’s reply? Retard Richard wrote, “Best of luck to you. You will be happy with this device.”
So…yeah, don’t expect any real answer, the guy knows absolutely nothing about Android. It’s been painfully obvious over the past 2.5 years. I once wondered why he didn’t take 10% of the time he uses spam-fucking the Android blogosphere with some nonsense about his current imaginary carrier/phone and actually try to learn something about Android until it occured to me – he doesn’t have the brainpower. He was “looking into” rooting every phone he claimed to own, but couldn’t. The dumbass couldn’t even update, much less root a GNex, which is the easiest device to root.
I got an early release GNote2, and I really like it, but it doesn’t pay my bills, cook, clean and get me off, and it sure as hell isn’t going to “pimp-slap/shit/piss on/suck on turds/boss/kool” and all of the other preschool crap he writes. Especially for the next “180 days” (his newest thing – nothing beats whatever current imaginary device he has for 180 days, for some reason).
Instead of wasting your time asking him things that will never be answered, it’s just easier to downvote him, call him a retard, and move on.
It *is* hilarious when you insult him and hit the nail on the head, because then, he completely loses it, and starts cursing everyone out. I outed this asshole over two years ago on Phandroid with his stupid videos, and, because he calls everyone “broke, losers, bums, stinking bums, useless, homeless, broke, unemployed,” etc., I came across this, and made sure everyone knew about it. Especially since I used to donate a decent sum of money to the Bowery Mission (no longer). As shown here:

        • Richard Yarrell

All you losers here on androidandme are pretty comical. Don’t quit your day jobs if you happen to have one.

          • squiddy20

Says the idiot who, as the link above clearly indicates on page 2, didn’t even have a “day job” 4 to 5 years ago until the Bowery Mission took you in, taught you how to turn on a computer, and gave you a job. Handouts FTW.

    • Steam

Imaginary devices do nothing, Richard. Even if you actually did have a Note 2, what, exactly, would you do with it? You’re too stupid to spell. You’re too stupid to even know how to properly use a smartphone.
You said yourself that you only really play games and run some apps (that is, when you’re not claiming that you have hundreds of movies, thousands of pics, hundreds of apps, and only used 1GB of memory).
Who, exactly, do you think you’re kidding? No one believes you, no one gives a shit, and quite frankly, you wouldn’t know the difference between a GN2 and a Jitterbug. You don’t even know how to use a freaking camera! You shot a video of yourself sideways, then took it down because people ripped on you for your videos. This was after you claimed that you were “making out like a fat cat” from the views. A video with 42 views, Richard. YouTube doesn’t initiate profit sharing until you hit 25,000 views, dumbass. I know this because I have a three with >100,000.
Keep the trolling and those retarded fantasies up. February 2014, I win $5000 because you’re a retard with delusions of grandeur, and I bet that you would never stop your silly bullshit and fantasy world. Maybe I’ll spend a half of it on smartphones and pay someone else with an incredibly strong throwing arm ~$1000 to throw them at your head as hard as they fucking can. It would be entertaining for me, and you can’t possibly become more mentally damaged than you already are. It’s a win-win, for me, anyway.
Oh, and if you’re going to try to bullshit people, at least keep your stories straight, dumbass.
“Love Technology and have been a Evo 4g owner on sprint since June 4th 2010. This device is the Granddaddy of all 4g android devices and I now know I can place my evo 4g in retirement because 2 new members have been added to the evo family. I will be purchasing my Evo 3d on June 24th 2011 and just might be able to get it on June 21st 3 days early due to bein a sprint premiere customer..”
      As shown here:
So, how is “Tween-Mobile” and “Samsuck” (your words, not mine) working out for you in your imaginary fantasy land? Is it going to be Motorola, and Cricket next week? Or will you invent something all on your own, since it’s all a fantasy world anyway? You should be rocking quantum processors and TMJ-RAM in a phone that expands to 19 feet at the touch of a button.

    • squiddy20

      1. By your own admission, you won’t have the Note 2 until the 15th. “My” implies ownership of something. How can you claim to own a phone you don’t even own? Moron.
      2. You’re comparing a phone that you don’t yet own to a phone that hasn’t even been officially unveiled. …And you go around talking about “uneducated simpleton’s”. What a joke.
      3. You claim to “love all things Android” but then you go and claim how whatever phone you currently own “pisses on/bitch slaps/pimp slaps/stomps” any other phone. Can you say “big fat hypocrite”?
      4. You always cite “T-Mobile’s HSPA+ 42 MPS network”, when you apparently don’t even realize that’s only the theoretical max speeds. I can guarantee you, without ever even owning a T-Mobile phone, you don’t even get a quarter of those speeds on a consistent basis.
      5. You’ve managed to piss off enough people with how much you’re on Samsung’s balls of late, that a few of your comments have even been deleted from Android Central’s forums. This is the same reason you were booted off of Phandroid over a year ago, except you were ranting and raving about HTC then. How sad that you don’t seem to have learned anything at all…

      • squiddy20

Correction: You’ve been BANNED from Android Central forums, and I assume, AC in it’s entirety, just like Phandroid and Android Police before they migrated to Disqus. When will you ever learn?

      • Richard Yarrell

You guys got me laughing pretty hard here. What a bunch of bumbling clowns androidandme loves people like this wasting so much time posting useless comments daily. Try getting a job and getting a life then after that check back in on us to let us know how life is. On your best day you will never be anything of any importance.

        • squiddy20

          1. You supposedly have a job at the Bowery Mission and you still have time to post all your utterly “useless” insults here. Not to mention all the other comments you post via Disqus and those that you posted on Android Central forums before you were banned (again). Try making an insult that doesn’t make you look like a total hypocritical fool.
          2. If we’re such “bumbling clowns”, then why don’t you do or say something (anything really) to refute our claims? Unless we’re hitting everything spot on? All you do is come up with these totally pathetic “insults” that only 3rd graders say.
          3. “On your best day you will never be anything of any importance.” Says the idiot who was quite literally nothing to no one 5 years ago when you were homeless. What a giant hypocrite.

        • Steam

…”androidandme loves people like this wasting so much time posting useless comments daily.” Is that why they ghost-wrote that Evo3D review for you? Is this why you haven’t been banned from AaM? They were nice enough (or stupid enough) to do that for you, and now, since people are calling you out on your lies and bullshit, you say that they can go fuck themselves? I don’t know anyone on AaM’s staff, but they seem like a nice group of people inasmuch as I can tell from their articles and comments, and this is how you treat them? By spamming their comment threads, and telling them to go fuck themselves?
You’re a back-stabbing piece of shit. A traitor to people who were kind to you, just as you’ve done to the Bowery Mission. You, Richard, are less than useless, you’re a fucking low-life, filthy, mentally damaged scumbag. No wonder you have no friends (no, you don’t, I’ve seen your FB and G+ pages, almost all of those people/groups/ corporate entities are people who accept everyone to their friends list).
Lying and living a lie in Richard’s Fantasy World is one thing, being a backstabber and traitor is another matter completely.

  • Nate B.

Nice specs but I honestly think this phone will blow over.

  • Nathan D.

  • Richard Yarrell

@squiddy20 Still signing in to androidandme as a guest wow. It’s pretty comical the biggest androidandme losers their ever was. How’s your 3g Galaxy Nexus on Sprint doing?? Not to well I bet it really hurt that you get stuck on all those old devices. Can’t keep up since your jobless still living at home with momma. You couldn’t even afford my old Galaxy S3. Sad world you live in i bet. My Galaxy Note 2 will be waiting for me on Thursday. Go shit on yourself squiddy20

    • squiddy20

      1. If you’re going to insult me, at least have the presence of mind to TRY to spell things correctly.
      2. The Sprint Galaxy Nexus isn’t even 8 months old. I would hardly consider that “old” when Sprint is still selling refurbished HTC Heroes and LG Optimus Ss, phones that were released well over 2 years ago.
      3. It’s hilarious that you put “@squiddy20″ when, if you had just replied to any of my comments, it would be totally unnecessary. You did it above in all your other comments, do you have some kind of problem hitting a few keys with your fat, grubby fingers or something?
      4. “Can’t keep up since your jobless still living at home with momma. You couldn’t even afford my old Galaxy S3.” And you know this…. how? You don’t know my name, age, general geographical location I reside, financial status, or anything of merit about me. All you’ve got are assumptions. Assumptions that are quite hilariously wrong. Just because I own an “old” Galaxy Nexus, does not mean I am a “poor bum” like you were 5 years ago. And just because you can “buy whatever smartphone [you] want to buy whenever [you] want it”, does not mean you are significantly rich or “rolling with the big boys”. Try buying a relatively nice car and come back to me on that one. What a joke.
