Best Buy has announced that the Metallic Blue HTC One for Verizon, Sprint and AT&T will go on sale September 15. The phone will be carried at all Best Buy retail and online outlets. Pricing details for the Metallic Blue HTC One were not listed, but it’s safe to assume it will carry the same price as the other HTC One color options offered by the various service providers.

The award-winning HTC One will be available in a stunning new Metallic Blue exclusively through Best Buy in the United States with the option of 4G LTE service from AT&T, Sprint or Verizon at the more than 1,400 Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile stores as well as on BestBuy.com on Sunday, Sept. 15.Best Buy

According to Jeff Gordon of HTC, the Metallic Blue HTC One is slightly darker than the Vivid Blue HTC One, which was unveiled last week. Jeff also noted that the software version on each of the Metallic Blue HTC One phones are carrier-dependent, so don’t be surprised if not all versions of the Metallic Blue HTC One are running on the same version of Android and HTC Sense.

I wish these manufacturers would release all the colors at once rather than a new color every 6 months to try and get new sales

But Smurfs are difficult to harvest. Blue doesn’t just grow on trees, y’know.

Looks like I’ll be trading in my HTC One DevEd for the Blue model. That thing looks stunning.

Tmobile keeps getting left out of everything. Seems this blue won’t be available. And at iPhone announcement, all prices based on contracts so Tmobile left out tio

The blue appears to be a Best Buy exclusive, and Best Buy doesn’t sell TMo postpaid anymore (at least the one near me doesn’t).

According to some on Droid-life, the blue is available already in certain best buys.

HTC mobiles are very nice now because Tony Jr (Iron Man) makes contract with them to advertise HTC product :)

Anodized aluminum is always really pretty when it’s new. Likely it will look like crap without a case to protect it in six months though.

Why not release it with a yellow version as well for best buy.

What exactly does “carrier dependent” mean? Ive been with an iphone for years, and am finally making the decision to go android with the HTC one. I really like the Metallic Blue, but will it be different from the other colors?

  • GE918

If only it was left up to me, that blue would be on the Note 3!

I got my metallic blue one today 3 days early and I love it. I don’t know about other carriers but on Verizon it’s running android 4.3 and everything else is the same.
