Google Music now features fireplace visualization for Chromecast

Chromecast Fireplace

Ah, it’s Valentines day, the day of couples and sad people at their computer. It’s a day of romance, so Google is getting in the spirit with a new “labs” feature in Google Play Music. Labs features are experimental features deemed not ready for regular users by Google, but most of them still work great.

This newest feature allows you to display a beautiful, roaring fireplace on your Chromecast while streaming from Google Play Music. After enabling the feature, the Chromecast will display an animated fireplace instead of the regular album art visualization while streaming your tunes. It’s cute and appropriate for the holiday.

To enable this feature, head over to the web version of Google Play Music. Hit the gear icon, go to Labs and enable Chromecast Fireplace Visualizer. Then grab your device and start streaming to your Chromecast! Enjoy this cool little feature, and enjoy your Valentines day! Remember folks, inanimate objects make great valentines!
