Moto X+1 codenamed Victara, coming to all four US carriers

Motorola Moto X

Though the Moto X didn’t sell well, those that did buy it are notorious for loving the device. A lot of us here at Android and Me purchased one for ourselves and love it to death. It did have its faults, like a very unimpressive camera and a battery that was on the small side, but they could easily be forgiven. Now that rumors surrounding the Moto X’s successor are swirling, we have very high hopes for the device.

Rumored to be released as the Moto X+1, a new codename for the device was leaked today thanks to @evleaks. The Moto X+1 is codenamed Victara, so if you see any references to Victara, you’ll know what you’re looking at. @evleaks also stated that the device will be available on all four carriers, though this doesn’t state if there will be any exclusivity deals on things such as Moto Maker. We dearly hope not.

The new Moto X will be coming sometime late summer, so we can expect it in a mere few months. I’m very excited to see what Motorola does next, as the company has already impressed me. Will you be getting yourself the Moto X+1? Leave a comment!

Now that T-Mobile is getting it I will most likely be getting 2. One for myself, and one for my fiance. She’s looking for a somewhat compact Android phone to get her away from the iPhone, and even though I love my M8 it’s very uncomfortable for my frequent one-handed use. I can’t wait for this to be released!

Would love to get my hands on this, but unfortunately, I doubt that it’ll be available in Ireland. :/ The Moto X never made it over here and was EXTREMELY late in Europe as a whole. Ontop of that, the Moto-Maker is still kind of non-existent.

can’t say I’ll get one or not until I know some specs, performance, etc. I am very eagerly anticipating this phone and holding off on an X hoping for a few tweaks in the right direction on an X1, but I generally don’t buy anything sight unseen.

Although the Moto X was a great phone if you could get the battery and ok Google now features of a droid Maxx with HTC construction, blink feed and the a much better camera here’s to hoping!!

Hope it comes to Republic Wireless Quick as well. Wonder how it will stack up against the one plus one. I am in between on those to and the X+1 doesn’t even have any specs released yet.

I’ve been very, very happy with my Moto X, and I’ll be due for my AT&T Next upgrade in October. I’m thinking about going no contract with a Moto G or Nexus 5/6 next time around, but otherwise the next Moto X will be at the top of the list.

I waited to get a walnut Moto X, then went on vacation in Jamacia and it was stolen/lost! I just got a Moto E until the Moto X+1 comes out.

I expect Moto X+1 will have an IPS display. Can’t look at any sort of OLED displays.
