With so many fitness trackers coming out these days, how do you possibly pick which one will be best for you? If you’re a big fan of If This Then That (IFTTT), with newly announced recipe support, it looks like Fitbit may be the tracker for you.

Announced on the official IFTTT blog, a new Fitbit channel is now live on IFTTT for making all sorts of crazy health and activity related recipes for automating your fitness. If you aren’t familiar with IFTTT, it’s a service that allows you to create recipes for performing actions across platforms, services and apps. Examples of what you can do with the new Fitbit channel on IFTTT include things like when you achieve your daily fitness goal through Fitbit, IFTTT will post an automatic Facebook status through your account telling the world you beat your goal. Or you can have your sleep logs recorded by Fitbit, and automatically entered into a Google Drive spreadsheet.

To get going with Fitbit and IFTTT, just visit the Fitbit channel, activate it, and start creating recipes. Let us know what you come up with in the comments. With IFTTT, the possibilities are almost endless.
