Latest HTC leak shows off budget Desire phone with 64 bit processor

64 bit processors gained some momentum when the iPhone 5S was released with one, but the hype died down almost instantly when people realized that it doesn’t make much of a difference at all. Yes, the world is moving to 64 bit processing, but a big upgrade it is not. However, Android devices will soon be getting 64 bit processors.

This leaked device is the HTC A11, a budget device in the Desire series featuring a future Qualcomm 64 bit processor. It has a 4.7-inch 854×480 display, a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 410, A 5MP rear camera, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Sense 6 on top. This phone just screams low end, and even a 64 bit processor won’t help that.

This device does not feature BoomSound or the well known HTC build quality, as manufacturing was allegedly outsourced to CompalComm. This isn’t exactly the 64 bit device we were waiting for, but it’ll be a decent budget smartphone if HTC can price it low enough. And with the fairly good pricing on its current Desire lineup, I think HTC will put it up at a half decent price point. And if you’re thinking of getting one, it should be coming to Sprint here in the US.
