Decided to hold on to your Nexus 5 rather than upgrade to a new Moto X (2nd Gen.) or the Nexus 6? If so, you’re likely wondering when you’ll get your taste of Lollipop. Well if Sprint is right, you’ll be getting it today.
Sprint says that the Nexus 5 is getting updated to build LRX21O, which includes an “upgrade to the new Android L Release.” Yeah, we think that they mean Android 5.0 Lollipop.
We haven’t heard anything from Google about a Nexus 5 update today, so for now we’ll remain cautiously optimistic about Sprint’s announcement. The big yellow carrier says that Android 5.0 will roll out in phases to the Nexus 5 starting today, so be sure to keep an eye out.
