Acer, a company that has experience with Chromebooks, has just released a new Chromebook that’s the largest Chromebook to date. The Acer Chromebook 15 features a 15.6-inch display that comes in two resolution options of 1920×1080 or 1366×768. It’s also Acer’s first Chromebook to feature processor options of a either 5th generation Intel Core i3 or a next-gen Intel Celeron processor, both of which allow for improved performance and higher efficiency.
The Acer Chromebook 15 features other specs such as 16/32GB SSD, full-sized upward facing speakers, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0 port, USB 2.0 port, HDMI port and full-sized SD card reader. The device seems fairly well-specced for a Chromebook and should provide a good experience for customers. An exact release date is not yet known, but Acer has said that pricing for the Chromebook 15 will begin at $249.99.
In addition to the new Chromebook 15, Acer also announced that it will begin selling a touchscreen model of its popular Chromebook 13. This model will be available in January for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and will have a base price of €329.
