Apparently January is a Desire-filled month. Following the official announcements of the HTC Desire 320 and Desire 826 at CES earlier this month, the rumor mill has revealed details on another new Desire phone.
- 5-inch 1280×720 display
- 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor (@upleaks says it’s an MT6572, but that’s a dual-core chip, while the MT6752 is octa-core)
- 13-megpaixel rear, 5-megapixel front cameras
- 2GB of RAM
- 16GB of storage
- 2000mAh battery
- Android 4.4, with an upgrade to Android 5.0 planned
A lower-end CU model of the Desire 626 is also reportedly in the works with a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor and 1GB of RAM.
There’s no mention of when the Desire 626 might debut. With MWC around one month away, though, there’s a chance that HTC could reveal it right before or at the show so that MWC-goers can spend some hands-on time with it.
