Samsung Galaxy S5 receiving Lollipop update in the U.K.

Galaxy S5 Mini

Samsung’s Android 5.0 Lollipop rollout for the Galaxy S5 has been pretty slow, having only come to a few countries in Europe and Asia so far. But now it’s hitting the U.K., so a bunch of new people can enjoy the update.

The Lollipop update for the Galaxy S5 features all the new stuff added to Android 5.0, like Material Design (with a TouchWiz twist, of course), new notifications, new animations, and more. Samsung has also improved the fingerprint scanner for those of you who have had trouble with it. Some also claim the update has improved the performance of Samsung devices significantly.

If you want this update, you can wait for the over-the-air notification to come to you, or you can give Samsung Kies a try. The PC/Mac software will allow you to update a device through your computer, though many hate the Kies software. Let us know when you get the update!

Why so many S5 updates in Europe but none in the US? When is AT&T going to update the S5.
