WhatsApp Web enables you to send messages using Google Chrome

Use WhatsApp on your Android device? Well now you can use it on your computer, too.

WhatsApp Web launched today as a way to communicate with your WhatsApp friends using a web browser. The app is an extension of WhatsApp on your phone, meaning that all of your messages will be routed through your device.

To get going, you need to start up Google Chrome (WhatsApp says that support for other browsers are coming soon) and point it at https://web.whatsapp.com. You’ll be given a QR code that you scan with your phone and then you’ll be good to go.

It may not be a full-on web app, but WhatsApp Web does certainly make using WhatsApp easier if you’re on a computer at all during the day. If you use WhatsApp and decide to give WhatsApp Web a go, let us know what your experience is like!
