Huawei Ascend Mate2 on track for Lollipop update in first half of 2015

Huawei Ascend Mate2 Lollipop

The Huawei Ascend Mate2 is a pretty nice budget phablet, so it was sad when Huawei announced that there would be no update to KitKat for the device, meaning that it would be stuck on an old version of Android forever. However, due to complaints and frustration from customers, Huawei decided to change its mind and update the device straight to Lollipop.

According to the latest news, the Lollipop update is still on track to be released in the first half of 2015. But there’s some news about the update that may interest owners of the device. First of all, the update will feature the new version of Huawei’s user interface, EMUI 3.x. And second, there will be a beta test program for the software for those interested.

If you’d like to join the test program, hit the source link and check out the instructions. And if not, just keep waiting for the update and it’ll come soon. Lollipop should be worth the wait.
