Another day, another HTC One X9 leak. This time we’re getting a peek at the unannounced Android phone from TENAA, which is sort of like China’s version of the FCC.
TENAA has posted several images of the HTC One X9 to its website, and the phone looks a lot like the one that surfaced earlier this week. There appear to be a pair of BoomSound speakers on the front of the phone as well as a set of capacitive navigation buttons. On the sides we can see volume and power buttons, and around back there’s an oblong camera housing with a flash.
According to today’s leak, the HTC One X9 features a 5.5-inch 1920×1080 display, 2.2GHz octa-core processor, 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing shooter, 16GB of storage with a microSD slot for added storage, 2GB of RAM, and Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. All of those features are packed into a body that measures 153.2 x 75.9 x 7.99mm and weighs 174 grams.
This One X9 isn’t a bad-looking phone, borrowing design cues from devices like the One A9, One V, and Nexus 6P. Its mid-range spec sheet is going to turn off folks that want a flagship smartphone, but that’s what the One M10 is for. If it’s priced appropriately, the One X9 could be marketed as an affordable phablet.
