HTC officially launches Boost+ phone cleaner

Last week, the news came out that HTC was beta testing a phone cleaner app called Boost+. Phone cleaners have been around for quite some time, but they’ve become redundant now that Android has its own optimized RAM clearing functionality built in. Nonetheless, HTC decided that it would go ahead and create a device cleaner for all users, not just those using HTC devices.

HTC Boost+ has officially exited its beta testing period and is now available for all Android users running Android 5.0 Lollipop or higher. While the app is well-designed, it should be remembered that phone cleaners can actually hurt your phone’s performance by shutting down so many apps, forcing them to restart.
