Sony’s latest official Marshmallow build for the Z5 brings back STAMINA mode

Sony’s STAMINA mode was a battery saver mode that was quite effective and well liked by Sony device owners. Unfortunately, it was removed with the Marshmallow update, as it interfered with Google’s new Doze mode battery saving feature. Sony promised to bring it back, and it finally has.

Sony’s latest build of Marshmallow, currently 32.2.A.0.224, is rolling out to the Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Dual, and Xperia Z5 Compact. This build contains STAMINA mode, though it’s more limited than the old version. We previously saw this feature in a test build, so we knew what  to expect.

Though it’s more limited than its predecessor, it’s still nice to have STAMINA mode back. If you have one of the previously mentioned devices, get to updating, as the new build also includes April’s security patches!
