Acer has introduced the Chromebook 11 N7, a rugged Chromebook that’s designed for educational settings. The Chromebook 11 N7 meets US Military 810G standards and is notable for drop resistance up to 48 inches, a spill-resistant keyboard and a fan-less design. Coupled with long 12-hour battery life and an affordable starting price of $229.99, this is a great option for schools, students, and educational facilities.
The device is entirely designed with students in mind. Acer has ensured that it can withstand pressure, twists, and stress, with extra reinforcement specifically designed with tight backpacks and bags in mind. The device is coated with grippy, non-slip plastic to further reduce the risk of damage.
On the tech side, the Chromebook 11 N7 is modest, but capable. The device features an 11.6-inch display, which is available in IPS touch and non-touch LCD options. Performance is provided by an Intel Celeron dual-core processor, 4GB of RAM, and 16 or 32GB of RAM. Students can stay connected with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, two USB 3.0 ports, one HDMI port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an SD card reader.
The Chromebook 11 N7 will be available to US customers in January and will be available to EMEA customers in February.
