The NVIDIA SHIELD TV 2015 Android 7.0 Nougat update is live! The update will bring the device to the latest version of Android, but that’s the least important of the changes.

A big addition is support for 4K HDR video. And alongside the previously supported video apps is now Amazon Video, which is a big plus for the streaming box.

There are also a bunch of new games coming, like For Honor, Watch Dogs 2, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, and more. GeForce NOW performance has also been upgraded with Pascal performance.

And lastly, NVIDIA has announced that in the future the 2015 SHIELD TV will be getting Google Assistant. Previously a Pixel-exclusive feature, it seems the company is spreading it to other devices. You’ll need the new SHIELD controller to use it. Also coming is SmartThings Hub integration.

Start checking if you can get the update now!
