We’re two days away from the October 4 event where the new Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will be unveiled alongside what should be a Google Home mini and a new Chromebook Pixel. We might even see a higher end Google Home and an accessory approval program.
But since it’s right before the final launch of the new Pixel devices, we’re getting plenty of leaks to ruin the suspense. This most recent one shows us another view of the two devices, with the Pixel 2 above and the Pixel 2 XL below.
The devices share many specs, including the Snapdragon 835, 4GB of RAM, 64 or 128GB of memory, a 12MP rear camera, and front-firing stereo speakers. The HTC-made Pixel 2 has a 5-inch 1080p display with large bezels while the LG-made Pixel 2 XL rocks a 6-inch 18:9 QHD+ display with much smaller bezels (though it’s far from bezel-free). Both will launch with Oreo on board.
The prices are to be $649/$749 for the Pixel 2 and $849/$949 for the Pixel 2 XL, and the devices should launch on October 19 and November 15, respectively. We’re excited to see what these devices have to offer because this year’s competition has been fierce.
