Average daily use

Hey, I was wondering what everyone’s average daily use was on their phones. Based on screen-on time, I generally have anywhere between 4 and 6 hours on my s3.

On a related note, I always hear about how batteries are decent on certain phones, but I always find mine dying before I am done with my day. If it turns out that I am using my phone more than average, I will finally understand :)

Check out an app called JuiceDefender. I recently have been running this on my Nexus 4 and it has made a HUGE difference in conserving battery.

As for screen on time, I would guess 4 hours is around a good estimate. I always have mine charging when I’m at work, so not sure of the actual screen on time!

I am very heavy user as well, since I:

    - access my email almost exclusively on my phone/tablet
    - do over 95% of personal and work-related browsing on it
    - even manage servers and debug code via terminal client on it
    - listen to music on it when in the car
    - use video calls through Google Plus Hangouts at least every other day
    - and take almost 100% of my pictures and video with it

And I have to recharge the phone at least when driving, otherwise I can end up with 10% charge in the early evening.

Mine is on permanent charge from 7am to 4pm. If not listening to the BBC iPlayer then it’s Skype and gmail to keep in contact with clients.

It’s good to hear that my usage is pretty standard then, if not under average (at least amongst android&me users)
I spend most of my time reading ebooks on my phone and watching netflix. Only a couple gaming sessions scattered here and there. I havent been able to find a game that I want to play for extended periods of time.

pretty heavy user here – when at work, my phone’s in a cradle and gets checked all the time… commuting – non-stop (music, web, email). At home it gets a breather, life, camera and PC take over :)

Well for me it doesn’t get used for much but a music player during the day. I do play games on my break though. Now that I have a Nexus 7, my phone doesn’t get used much when I get home either. I do use it for a camera all the time.

I use my phone at work to check personal email, Facebook, web surfing. At home it’s my main tool for communication/web browsing since the 4G on the phone is faster than the crap satellite internet that we have (living in the boonies and it’s all we can get).
