Favorite RSS Reader App

I can never choose. I use Feedly, Flip board, Google Reader, and Press.

I just use reader as my main one almost exclusively because it syncs with the web so I can browse the same feeds and keep track of what is read/unread easily.

Though I’ve used Flip board and currents too I didn’t see that they had a similar Web presence so I couldn’t use while at work.

I might also be strange in that I prefer the simple text/headlines I get with reader rather than image heavy aggregators.

I use the google reader. since it’s simple and always in sync whit your google reader account subcribements. but most of the time i just visit the mobile website of a newspage in the browser.

I can never seem to choose on over the other. I am constantly using Pulse News, Currents, Feedly, and occasionally, until Flipboard. I like Feedly because it syncs with Google Reader and is in my opinion better. Pulse news is nice and easy to use. It’s just a hard choice and I can’t decide on one so I keep them all.

I use pulse a well. I like the ability to scroll through the headlines easily. I haven’t gotten into rss feeds too much yet but am interested in doing so.

You should definitely try more out. It’s how I get most of my tech and Android news! I also read a lot of blogs about Politics, Comics, and Television. It’s nice to have it all aggregated in Google Reader so I can read at my leisure.

I use Feedly, for the most part. My one annoyance is that I can’t see alt text on comics, so I keep Google Reader around (and mostly use Google Reader on the desktop).

Its so weird to be that nobody else does alt text as well as Google does. Don’t developers read xkcd?

  • lou2cool88

Yeah, Feedly is probably the one I go back to most often. Sometimes it has glitches and hiccups with the graphics and I have to restart the app. I like it because it syncs with Google Reader so anything I read or mark unread in Feedly is marked read or unread in Google Reader. I also use Google Reader on the desktop. I think it’s way better than the app version.

    Thanks for everyone’s input!

I tend to use the ‘Appy Geek’ app, it had a great widget. Was supposed AnMe wasn’t on it though

I’m pretty excited about Press right now, though I’ve been using Google Reader for awhile and appreciate its quirks

    • lou2cool88

Press is great-looking but I need to get used to the UI a bit more.

I use Reader for sure. My favorite part is that if I see something on my computer in Google Reader, I can just “save for later” and then show someone then instead of going back and trying to find it.

  • Charlong666

Like some of the guys above I use Google Reader. It’s simple to set up, great to use, and most blogs all ready have the button for it in there site.

Edit: I also use Pocket to save entire webpages that I want to go back to when I have a chance to read the whole thing. Instead of having to scroll down my Reader feeds to find it again.

I forgot how great Pocket is, too. Though I don’t use it as often as I should. It’s a great alternative to marking unread.
