Looking for a replacement for my wife’s Motorola Defy

Hey Guys and Gals,

My wife uses and loves her Tmobile Defy. Its showing its age, and even with some spiffing up with Cyanogenmod it still is having issues. Mainly, we have so many issues with GPS signal. We even own two of these and they both refuse to lock on no matter where we are, while my Galaxy Note 2 works like a charm next to it. She doesn’t want to replace it with anything that won’t give her the same durability, which is the issue in finding a replacement. I am willing to explore other carriers, besides Tmobile, but would prefer to stick on Tmobile if we can keep her there. I’ve so far found the Sony Xperia Go to be the best looking option, but really seems like its bare bones for this market of water resistant, dustproof, etc. Any ideas? Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!

Maybe the Samsung Galaxy Rugby pro ?

Dont think it has tmobile 1700 band but seems like a pretty durable phone. Maybe use it on straight talk sim?

If your GPS is the #1 reason you’re posting this, go check out this thread. This has helped countless people who think they have a device with crappy GPS when in reality, it’s just a very non-obvious configuration issue. It could be that your devices have a bad GPS unit in it, but more often than not that thread solves the problem.
